  Date ideas needed

  i need some tips for fun places to go or things to do on a date.... i'm running out of ideas and i'm sick of the "go to the bar then to the club" kind of dates.

  Bowling or the movies are always fun. I live in a smaller town so there's not to much to do...so I guess I don't have any creative ideas. Or a picinic...yummy

  Sorry Buttlight I know this an important subject!!

  Hmmm... how is it then that the R&F are told to pray "In Jesus Christ's name, Amen" if only the anointed have him as the mediator?

  Good question....I suppose because thats what the bible says to do. And they have to make their prayers sound normal to the public....or maybe they are just praying for the annoited. I am going back to find an article or two on this topic.

  Since when do Witnesses not believe Jesus to be the head of the Church? Perhaps I had it wrong the whole time, but I thought no one reached Jehovah but though Jesus Christ.

  The J-dubs have no need for Jesus. Its God the Holy Spirit and the FDS. If you go back to some of their watchtowers and Awakes it says that only the Jesus is the mediator for the Annointed. I am not good and cutting and pasting..but I am surre someone can show you that altough the society from the outside looks like Jesus is their head...he really isn't.

  did that mentality keep you in fear and prevent you from leaving?

  how many times were we told that the kingdom halls would be our ark and that we needed to keep going to the meetings so that we wouldnt miss the announcement that the great tribulation was beginning and the doors of the ark were closing...even though the bible says nobody knows the day or the hour?

  did any of you ever pray for your relatives to die so they would have a ressurection and not be destroyed at armageddon?

  i know you are sick of that phrase by now....because jdubs use it all the time when referring to 'apostates'.

  they come on this forum or (people you know) generalize 'apostates' as though we are of different class...that we are no longer human.

  they are obviously fed these little tid-bits about 'apostates' from the society since i am sure they don't personally know many.

  Little things that mean alot

  okay i hate to sound mean but witnesses in my opinion are mean and rude (that once included me) without even realizing it, maybe.

  because the little things that non-witnesses do in everyday life for others and their family mean alot to ones they love or complete strangers.. what are some little things you can do know that show someone you care..that you weren't allowed to do before?.

  1. saying "bless you" after someone sneezes

  Reading 'apostate' sites? - Can you be disfellowshipped?

  i would like to make it aware to some friends that i have read some 'apostate' sites, so i can share my doubts with them.

  i'm hoping that they'll keep what i tell them to themselves, but what i was wondering is, if i did this could i risk getting disfellowshipped if my friends told the elders?

  all my family and friends are still very much a part of the organisation, and so i am not ready to be shunned yet.

  Yep- you can be disfellowshipped. I am sure plenty of people will cut and copy the information from the society on here for you....They are so afraid because they don't won't people to know the truth about the truth....thats why they make people so scared to even come on these 'apostate' sites....for fear that they will be disfellowshipped/shunned.

  I feel your pain!!!

  I was also raised to believe they were from God. Yet, my sister who was raised in the same household didn't give a crap about the teachings and did what ever the heck she wanted. Now, I am the apostate and she's the over zealous witness...tellling ME I am bad....I really don't get it. It's like a little part of their brain is normal and wants to do normal things but the other part (witness) takes over and runs their life.
