by youpeoplearefunnyandsad inno i haven't read the replies to my last post although i'm finding it hard to resist.. but let me just add some things.
there is no doubt that some of you 'apostates but you don't even know it' thought you have given some very clever respones.. just to clarify, i've had my share of the world and i'm glad i'm out of it, you however are hanging around on a jw site this is my first and last day of looking on here - and i'm only on here to wnd you lot up, .
how easy was it really - i'm off sick, how many of you just haven't got anything better to do.

Should I stay or should I go
by PoppyR inso... i haven't stepped foot in the hall for about 6 months and have had my 'invatation' to the memorial.
i had previously decided that i would go if asked, to make my family happy etc.. now i dont know what to do, because if i dont go, it's clear to them i am not half hearted about this and have made my decision.
one side of me almost is interested to go, to see everything from a new light and i have two children who still attend intermittently and i want to be the one to take them if they are going.

Last year at memorial time I decided to go....even though I had not been to a meeting in a long time (for the sake of one of my family members). I was so sick and shaking before I went in. During the whole thing I was sick to ny stomach and going over in my head during the talk that I wish I could go up on stage and tell them all the truth. During the talk the elder look right at my (inactive family) and said that although the memorial was important it was just as important to attend ALL the meetings. I hope you donn't have to go...but if you do I recommend a strong shot of something before goin

READ THIS
by youpeoplearefunnyandsad inmost of you are apostates right?
or disfellowshiped?
do you not think its a little odd that you people all get together and make such an effort to put a religion down?that you get together and plot what you are going to do to disrupt things, that you are so bitter and twisted, that your expereicnces eat you up inside?

Yes we are all from the devil...you better run and hide...And don't let any other witness see you on here.
Hey when you realize the truth about the truth you will be back on this forum for support and we will gladly help you. Hey by the way how much time are you putting down on your fieldservice report for your witnessing? when the elders wonder why you have so much time down are you going to tell them you were witnessing to apostates on the internet??

Converation with Active Dub
by pratt1 ini had drinks with a friend of mine who is still active in the "lie".. i asked him point blank if he still believes that the "end" will come in his life time.
he grew up as a dub and is in his early 40's.
he answered that he hopes so.

Yep I do- My (ex) best friend follows NOTHING the WTS says and lives a lie or as the wts would call it a 'double life' yet she now refuses to talk to me or be seen with me...because its been rumored that I am an apostate. oh and I also suggested that she check into her religion to see if it was 'the truth' and that coc was a fine book to get started. Yep she leads a worse life then me but I am the bad one...

I was just wondering what everyone does with their extra time?? The meetings took up so much time in our lives. For me its soo fun to sleep late on Sat (no service!) and Sundays. And the other nights I spend time with my husband or family just relaxing or doing something fun. I once read "Its better to be fishing on the lake thinking about God. Then sitting in church thinking about fishing" I agree!

Happy Birthday Tim-
I am not that versed in the law...so, I have no comment on the Sabbath. However I do know that most people on here do indeed love God (and even if they no longer do believe in God). Try to lead good and upright lives. Most of us (well me anyway) No longer try to push our beliefs onto other people. There was a quote once that said." Stand up for what you believe but don't believe its the whole truth or the only truth". Call, me crazy but I do believe that God loves all people even if we don't follow certain traditions or religious ways.

My sister the robot
by beautifulisfree inyep- my favorite sister when i was growing up is still one of them.

It's a very long and actually not so complicated story. The elders and parents never went to the police with it...since it is against WTS policy. The girls dad was/is a very strict man and elder and made the girl only tell part of the story to the elders so that his story and her story matched. So, nothing was done to him except to say sorry. He got to move on with his life and even remain an elder (and perhaps find another victim?) She wasn't so lucky .......Today she is still shunned by her family and witnesses for not being able to put up with the crap of the WTS and leaving. And although I don't want to say any more details she has not had a good life.

Made-Up Rules Dubs Try To Impose On Each Other
by calico inthis is in reference to the thread about dubs not having pets.
although, not a rule from the borg there are ones who would say you should not have pets.
can you think of other silly made-up rules that someone tried to impose on you?

I don't know if these were rules in other halls but they were here
1. No opened toed shoes
2.No toe rings
3. Only one piercing in each ear and no other piercings allowed
4. No dresses that showed off your shoulders (ya cause shoulders are sooo hot) or showed your bra strap
5.No guys are allowed to highlight their hair and it was once told to me by a pioneer sister girls shouldn't either.
Man, I could go on for ages!
