I showed my mother, who is the kind that does not attend but still claims that she is one..Well anyways, she went red and said " this is apostacy and I will not have no part of it" she told me I should pray to Jehovah for forgiveness..

What has been your response with telling "devout" JW's about the UN scandal
by booker-t ini was talking to a elderly jw's lady at the donut shop the other day and i brought up the un and the wt scandal.
this woman told me that i was lying and that jw's leaders would never be apart of a "satanic" org as the un.
she said that "apostates" are spreading vivious lies about jw's and are only telling half truths.

when I was in high school I applied and got accepted to a college, withouts my aunts approval. My senior year I was involved in a horrible car accident, and was unable to attend college. By the time I was able to go I did not want to.
My aunt said to me that it was Jehovahs way of letting me know he disaproved of me going to college.
And now shes letting me know how proud she is of one of the kh boys going to college and now she her self is thinking of going to college....go figure

'Disciplining' Children during meetings

apparently, some neighbors reported one of the mothers for child abuse and called up the hall and told the elders that if they see it again they will call the police.. .
by no shocker the mother was still able to keep her baby...

There is a difference between spanking and beating. And most all of the 'spanking' that took place in the back room was a beating. Sometimes I wondered if parents tearing the child out of the seat for 'acting up' was a way of proving their parental skills to everyone else.
I can remember one time a lady took her todler out for a 'spanking' and I could hear the poor thing screaming and I told my mom I was going to go back their and beat up the mom. All that got me was a beating at home.
When my mother would beat me she would quote the scripture that children need to be obediant to your parents and that one that talked about discipling with the rod. She would just grab anything that would leave a sting. When my mom would quote the scritptures I would say yes jehovah wants you to spank me but not beat me!

How would you react if proof is found that your beliefs are wrong?
by Honesty ina more complete example of a wrong religious road or overwhelming delusion than what is found in the writings of the watchtower bible and tract society would be difficult to find.
if each jehovah's witness would follow their own guidance and conscience, many more than already have would stream out of the suffocating grip of this man-centered organization and into true liberty.. matt 24:11-12 many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.

when I was younger I remember asking my granny (who was a missionary) what if Jw were not the true religion, and she told me then we would not be this religion and we would find the true religion. She also said if anyone could disprove jws wrong she would change..People have tried but she still is a strong jw....

What Went Thru Your Mind While Sitting at The Meetings?

i'd look at the platform/speaker stand, look like i was paying attention, get antsy, and find another elder to "discuss" something ith.
i just got to the meeting----right before it was to start and if the talkative po decided that his last part was going to go overtime, i'd put on my coat and look at the big clock on my way out in front of everyone and leave for the local bar.
