JW's and Secular work?
by Honesty inwhy do they 'separate' their secular work from 'theocratic' activites?.
when i was in the watchtower lie, i always wondered why the dubs make such a distinction in their daily activities.
after i escaped and started making friends with worldlings who happened to be christians i learned that they make no distinctions between what they do as a profession and their witnessing about jesus to other people.

I never did understand why they even made an issue of it. I knew an elder who owned and worked his business that cleaned a strip club, and there were naked pics of girls plastered everywhere, but obviously this was no concern, but another couple I knew that had a cleaning business wouldn't clean a church. I would think church cleaning would've been better than the strip club thing....

Thank you all so much, the due date is November 19th. I have an 11 year old daughter and she is over the moon about being a big sister, she can't wait. November seems like a lifetime away, my fiance is on top of the world, we had been trying for a while with no success. Hopefully the pregnancy will go well. We have been looking at every website on the net about babies, it is soooo awesome!!!!

Governing body and food at the proper time
by snarf ini had a sister call on me the other day and asked if i wanted to attend the book study with her.
i asked her how the governing body knew which topics to post in the magazines and what subjects the elders need to talk about for public talks.
she never answered my question, but assured me it was covered in the chapter they were studying in the daniel book.

I rmeber when I first started studying I ask this question, and the answer then was that angels (messengers of God) give them their "food" through dreams...I thought she was cookoo, but for some reason I accepted the answer and continued with the studies.

Aske him if he needs to go back because he wants a relationship with his family ( which is understandable just having a little one...congrats!!!). Or if his desire is for religous reasons. Whatever the decison is, usually the best thing is to support him in which ever decision he makes. Try not to hound him too much in the beginning when he feels positively towards the religion, use that time to research for yourself some issues he may have discussed with you that troubled him about the religion. As soon as he gets more serious about looking into it again, I am sure he will have a moment of panic and start talking about the bothering issues, then you will be prepared and can discuss them with him. Congratulations on your first step towards your new life. Hopefully you can now have more support from your wife, maybe use the ditch sessions to start asking her questions on some of her beliefs and issues she is having trouble with.

by whyizit inon page 3277 there is a message by shunned father who is in a legal battle with the wts lawyers, over the death of his daughter.
he is incurring a lot of legal expenses and needs help.. how many of you have seen the e-mail that is going around that talks about how little $20 is, until you go to donate it?
then all of the sudden it seems like too much.
