It all crashes down
And you break your crown
And you point your finger
But there's no one around
Where's your crown, King Nothing?

Could "this generation" simply be the generation of fleshly humans
by DJPoetech ini was thinking about that and the crazy confusion of generational rangling being handed over by the gb.. maybe jesus simply refered to fleshly humans as a whole generation knowing he would be the first fruits of a "new generation" of spiritual creatures.. the gb have tried to rework the generational mess but it doesn't improve the outcome.. it would make more sense if we considered that the great crowd (new generation) were in heaven instead of on earth.. again just kicking things around!.
what yall think?.

All quotes from the New International Version, ©2011:
Matthew 12:39
He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah."
Matthew 12:41
The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here.
Matthew 12:42
The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here.
Matthew 12:45
Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.
Matthew 16:4
"A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away.
Matthew 17:17
“You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you?”
Matthew 23:33-36
“You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. Truly I tell you, all this will come on this generation.
Matthew 24:34
Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
Similar sentiments about "this generation" in the other gospels. Later on...
Acts 2:40 — With many other words he warned them; and he [Peter] pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”
Philippians 2:15 — “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” (Referencing disobedient Israelites in Deuteronomy 32:5, "They are corrupt and not his children…")
Hebrews 3:10 — That is why I was angry with that generation; I said, ‘Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.’ (Paul was referencing Psalm 95:10. Again, disobedient Israelites.)So, who was Jesus and his apostles speaking about? Was it his footstep Christian followers then, or now? Obviously not. These scriptures address and reference a corrupted Hebrew regime.

PSac, I was told verbally when I called Brooklyn. They didn't point me to any articles, as I explained that I was raised in it but never baptized and needed some clarification. So much had changed in the intervening years since I last studied. I had just learned about the fractions nonsense and was looking for a way around it, since my mother won't accept them anyway. She's "spiritually weak" in so many other ways, but on this one point "steadfast." And suffers from many ongoing health issues.
Not sure what it says in the new elder's book, or if this "conscience matter" has been spelled out directly in any of the publications over the years. I think the sheep don't really know about the DA option, or more would go that route and eventually become reinstated. I don't think the Masters would like that, evidence that you can accept blood and renew your JW status in a few months! But this is what I was told matter-of-factly when I called Brooklyn, like helping a relative choose DEATH one way or another was so natural. Maybe for the soul-less, sociopath robots who answer the phones at Bethel, but that just doesn't fly out here in the real world.
Looking forward to this new light on blood, but take it for granted it's just another legal "out" to protect themselves from liability. Personally, I'd like to see the Assisted Suicide Goon Squads (Hospital Liaison Committees) disbanded for good. THAT would go a long way, not far enough, but at least allow JWs and their families who actually care about them make informed decisions without undue pressure.
(Okay, now I'm going back to read Randy's post… )

I thought that LEGALLY, the "no blood" issue is one of conscience?
IN other words, the WTBTS does not MANDATE the JW not get an blood transfusions but leave sit up to the individual to decide, isn't that the OFFICIAL position?
Yes, PSacramento is correct, it is a "conscience matter." If a JW accepts a transfusion, they automatically disassociate themselves, and will be treated as disfellowshipped. Essentially, they remove themselves from the congregation voluntarily and will be punished. Sit in the back, attend all meetings, etc. and be shunned by family/friends until the elders decide they can have their "privileges" back.
What's so heartless about this "arrangement", is that when you need the love and support of family/friends the most — during a life-threatening situation — your choice is DEATH physically, spiritually, sometimes both.
The Witnesses shoot their wounded, then kick them around when they're down for good measure. How Christlike! (Not.)

Proving Thor Exist: Reason why the proofs of God fail.
by bohm inhad there been theistic/atheistic debates 1300 years ago, my relatives might have heard this definite argument for the thundergod thor:.
without thor there can be no lightning.lightning exist.therefore thor exist.
qed.the atheist in that time would properly have gone after #1. i imagine the theist would have said:.

by mamalove ini keep hearing this song on the radio, top 40's type of station.
i think it is a song from a new movie soundtrack, either "the dilemma" or "just go with it" or "no strings attached.
" i heard it when i was in the other room when the tv was on, and it was one of those movie trailers i think....let's hope i am not going batty here.. the song is done by an african american singer i believe, and it has that 70's funk, stevie wonder type of sound/vibe to it.
