We're tentative about rewarding the NHL with our hard-earned dollars when we've just as easily attended excellent concerts instead throughout their troubles. Simply tired of being taking for granted.
What really pi$$es me off, is all the *other* jobs that were affected for months on end. The workers who serve food, pour beer, clean the restrooms, parking attendants, security, etc. They have to make a living off these games as well, and nobody gave a damn if they could eat or make rent in the meantime.
Epic fail on that part, and we fans have to suck it up, paying out extra welfare and food stamps to people who work terrifically hard for low wages to begin with. My heart really goes out to them for making every game experience run so well as it does, no matter who is playing or who wins.
Still… The little hockey devil in me can't wait to pump my fist in the air and shake my a$$ to this again:

He was given a long garment of skin (this vessel that he passed on to his progeny) that trapped the sin and death into IT.
tec, please explain something. From the Genesis story, Eve was supposedly created from one of Adam's ribs. He would have had a bone/skeletal structure.
So they were just skeletal creatures with no external skin "garments" at all? What kept their internal organs intact?
And by this reasoning, skinning a modern-day human alive would un-trap the sin and death inside of it?Had Adam not been given the garment that trapped death in it;
I still don't understand. A physical skin "garment" similar to the animal life "created" before them, or a figurative one?

U.K. JW Pedophile -- Sentenced !
by Rabbit informer teacher jailed for trying to abduct girl in holywellmar 12 2009 by our correspondent, western mail.
a former teacher, businessman and senior jehovahs witness who tried to abduct a five-year-old was yesterday jailed for six years.. robert edward bill, 54, was told by a judge that he was still in denial about his predatory interest in young children despite a series of convictions.. he has been found guilty at separate trials of the attempted abduction of the girl in holywell two years ago, of indecently assaulting a seven-year-old 10 years ago, and of possessing 730 pornographic images of children.. prosecuting at caernarfon crown court, simon medland described how the girl had been returning home from a playground when bill, for malign purposes, drew up in his car and asked: have you seen a cat?.
by chance the girls uncle arrived at the scene at that moment and her mother, who had been watching from a window, ran to her.. mr medland said bill of the roe, st asaph, denbighshire, had been driving slowly around areas where he was likely to come into contact with children that same day.

UPDATE:
Why was he allowed into Spain?
PUBLISHED: December 12, 2012 at 4:00 pm • LAST EDITED: December 12, 2012 at 4:19 pm

EXCLUSIVE by Frances LeateURGENT questions are being asked why a dangerous sex offender who preyed on young girls was allowed to come to Spain and allegedly re-offend.
Spanish police have been searching for Robert Edward Bill, from Wales, since November 19, when a 12-year-old Spanish girl was bundled into a silver Peugeot in Velez Malaga.
Now his son has called for a change in the law to prevent dangerous sex offenders like his father coming abroad in the first place.
Stephen Bill, 26, from Preston, told the Olive Press: “I think it is ridiculous that European law allows him the right to build a new life in Spain around people who know nothing about him or his past.
“My father is a dangerous man and in north Wales everyone knows about his convictions.
“But over in Spain, expats had no idea. It just shouldn’t have happened.”
The girl, who has told of her terrifying ordeal on Spanish TV, was able to escape from the car seconds before the man sped off with her inside.
The incident mirrored Bill’s previous conviction in 2009, in which he was found guilty of the attempted abduction of a girl of five from a street in Holywell, north Wales. He was also found guilty of indecently assaulting a seven-year-old girl and of possessing 730 pornographic images of children.
Police are still involved in a major manhunt for Bill, an ex-Jehovah’s Witness.
He moved to Spain on August 9, despite a UK judge describing him as having ‘an unhealthy sexual and predatory interest in young children’.

Jesus- Messiah or Agent of the Roman Empire
by designs inseveral modern scholars doubt that a real yeshua ben yoseph lived but was rather a literary device, fiction if you will.
other sources maintain that yes there was someone like this person but much has been lost and distorted to create a history for certain followers and its religious influence on cultures in the region.
a more cynical approach, if you will, comes from the victims of the 'propaganda' contained in the new testament.

I was discussing this with a relative about "turn the other cheek" and "go the extra mile" other not-so-original teachings that had their origins in the occupying Roman army. Just a little too convenient!
Imagine losing your ancestral lands that went back over a thousand years.
You mean like the natives of Palestine for the past 2,000 years who lost their ancestral lands to Europeans?
"Ancestral lands" for the ancient Hebrews? Their very own scriptures celebrate murdering their merry way across Canaan to steal grazing land, when they weren't wandering around aimlessly in the desert.
Primitive tribal nomads moving flocks around in tent clans, up to their ankles in goat crap. There's a certain resentment in the OT for settled city dwellers (builders and tool-users), the same way the Watchtower resents educated people.
Where is their distinct Hebrew art, architecture, pottery, etc. until they came into contact with more civilized peoples? Even their alphabet was adapted from others. Jerusalem itself was built by previous "pagan" inhabitants.
They were pirates and pillagers. Probably the best thing that ever happened was the civilizing influence of Babylonian captivity. Agriculture, mathematics, technology, all sorts of shiny pretty things they could never dream of on their own.
The Romans gave them much leeway to operate their disgusting animal sacrifice bank-and-barbecue system. But I can see the Romans eventually saying "enough is enough" and creating a scenario by which there is one last sacrifice for all time. -

The open hostility of the "angels" is over the top!
Supporters and protectors? They're more like brute enforcers in a slave labor camp… Mr. Hefty on the right is just jones'n to crush that worldly woman's skull if she doesn't accept the tract.

When you face adversity, take advantage of the help Jehovah has providedBible study, meetings, field service. Hmm... Where are the spirit-appointed "gifts in men" when you need them?
Could this be just another legal department article to avoid liability because clueless, uncaring elders dole out bad advice?
From the following article, What Kind of Spirit Do You Show?:
Elders may make mistakes that affect us personally. If that happens, how inappropriate it would be for any member of the congregation to react according to the world’s spirit, vehemently demanding “justice” or that “something be done about this brother”! Jehovah may choose to overlook certain minor failings. Can we not do the same? Because of what they perceive as defects in the elders, some individuals who engage in serious wrongdoing in the congregation have refused to appear before a committee of elders assigned to help them. This could be likened to a patient who loses out on the benefits of a treatment because he does not like something about the doctor.
