UNWIGGED & UNPLUGGED
An Evening with
Christopher Guest, Michael McKean & Harry Shearer
(March 2, 2009 – Los Angeles) --- Actors/Directors/Musicians and Comedy Icons Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer are doing something they have never done before; performing a six week, 30 city multi-media acoustic tour without wigs and electric instruments.
UNWIGGED & UNPLUGGED: An Evening with Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer has the legendary musical and comedic trio performing music from heavy metal’s loudest band Spinal Tap along with the folk music from A Mighty Wind, and more.
Tickets for the UNWIGGED & UNPLUGGED tour go on sale Friday, March 6th, with the tour starting Friday, April 17th in Vancouver and ending Sunday, May 31st in Milwaukee.
UNWIGGED & UNPLUGGED is not about funny costumes and characters, but rather three long time friends and collaborators who make each laugh and love nothing better than to find some excuse to get together and play music. The trio commented, “With this being the 25th Anniversary of the film This is Spinal Tap, we thought this would be a fun and at the same time, a little challenging, as we have never performed as ourselves. Think of the evening as three old friends jamming in your living room. As opposed to OUR living rooms; we won’t be home.”
UNWIGGED & UNPLUGGED will feature songs from the original soundtrack This Is Spinal Tap (1984), the studio album Break Like The Wind (1992), and A Mighty Wind (2003) along with some special surprises and rarities thrown in.

What a week
by LouBelle init's been a rather horrid week this side of the world - well only during work hours.
it is unfortunate that i have a totally incapable boss.
she has no leadership, she doe not appreciate the team she has, is extremely iff, picks on staff until staff are in tears, and is one of the most unkind persons i know.

Amazing Video on Human Regeneration
by metatron inhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxhi4q8edtu.
we are so close to huge breakthroughs on anti-aging and regeneration that will profoundly change the human race.
at some point, if humans develop the technology of indefinite life, the bible will no longer apply, as it defines man as a creature of "three score and ten" or little better.

Good news! Witnesses may actually regrow their brains, and the Governing Body can finally get some hearts. ;–)
Wish I had some money laying around to invest in this technology. http://www.tengion.com/

Shameless pandering.
Congress first designated it by public law in 1991. Both Republican and Democrat administrations have issued the proclamation each year (18) since.
This is in addition to
Black History Month – February – 1926
Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month – May – 1977
Hispanic Heritage Month – September – 1968
American Indian/Alaska Native Heritage Month – November – 1990Sounds fake to me

BTW, Obama's ancestor Fulmuth Kearney from Moneygall, Co. Offaly emigrated to America in 1850 at the age of 19. A shoemaker by trade, he settled in Ohio as a farmer.

THE WHITE HOUSE
Office of the Press Secretary
_____________________________________________________________
For Immediate Release March 2, 2009
BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA A PROCLAMATION
Even before the birth of our Nation, the sons and daughters of Erin departed their homes in search of liberty and a more hopeful future. As these early pioneers left familiar lands, they carried with them the rich traditions of home. This March we honor their journey and their lasting contributions to the history and culture of the United States.
Following the colonial migrations, the United States enjoyed the greatest influx of Irish during the 1840s as Ireland suffered the Great Famine. Hungry but hopeful, poor but perseverant, Irish-Americans seized the opportunity to work hard, enjoy success, and pursue the American Dream.
Many took on the difficult work of constructing America's infrastructure. Others assumed positions of leadership. Among those leaders were signers of the Declaration of Independence and Presidents of the United States. Still others enjoyed great success and influence in the arts and literature. From social activists to business leaders, athletes to clergy, and first responders to soldiers, distinguished Irish-Americans have made indelible contributions to our national identity.
Today, tens of millions of Irish-Americans can look back with pride on the legacy of their forebears. Irish-Americans are integral to the rich fabric of the United States, and we are grateful for their service and contributions.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Barack Obama, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 2009 as Irish-American Heritage Month. I encourage all Americans to observe this month with appropriate ceremonies, programs, and activities.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this second day of March, in the year of our Lord two thousand nine, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-third.
BARACK OBAMA
