  recently i made a pair of legwarmers for a 2 year old sister of my youngest son's classmate.

  i did it because she's a cute little thing and she's taking ballet.

  today her mom told me that the other mothers from the ballet class asked where she got the legwarmers because they can't find them anywhere.

  my sister has breast cancer too.

  she has had it longer than me.

  Eleven people have been injured jumping out of a second-floor flat window after apparently thinking they had seen the devil.
  
  Police are investigating the incident which took place in the early hours in the small town of La Verriere, west of Paris.
  
  Officers said some of the injured were children including a four-month-old baby, who is in a serious condition in a children's hospital in the French capital.
  
  "Thirteen people were in an apartment on the second floor when, at around 3am, one of the occupants heard his child crying," said Odile Faivre, the deputy prosecutor in Versailles.??" The man in question, of African origin, who was completely naked, got up to feed his child, at which point the other occupants took him for the devil.
  
  "He was seriously wounded in the hand after being stabbed with a knife before he was thrown out of the apartment, via the door." ??The 30-year-old man then tried to force his way back into the room.
  
  "That's when the other occupants tried to escape by jumping out of the window, panicked by a fear of the devil," said Ms Faivre. ??Police are questioning the naked man as well as another man who jumped from the window with a two-year-old girl in his arms.?? Seven of those injured - who were African, possibly from Angola - were taken to hospital for emergency treatment.?? Detectives are trying to find out if the group jumped voluntarily or were forced to jump.

  I Sesame Street for this very reason! It encourages little ones take pride in themselves and accept others' differences, no matter what they see and experience out in the Big World.
  
  I wept when Mr. Rogers passed away. Between him and Sesame Street — and how we were raised in the Borg — we knew that children, somewhere, were truly loved and appreciated as individuals. Every child was unique, even worthy. Not all were stuck in some adult-made, repressive regime, and we could only hope… our parents and adults at the Hall would accept (celebrate?) us someday like the adults did on stinkin' children's public television!

  Gold was put on the sex offenders' register for the rest of his life

  A Jehovah's Witness who groomed and sexually abused a boy has been jailed for six years and eight months.

  Thomas Gold, 45, of Alloa, Clackmannanshire, was sentenced at the High Court in Edinburgh.

  He previously admitted committing indecency at a house in Tullibody between November 1996, when the boy was seven years old, and November in 2003.

  Unemployed Gold took the boy canvassing for the Jehovah's Witnesses and to the Kingdom Hall.

  When he became a teenager, the victim told elders at his church about the abuse.

  Advocate depute Alison Di Rollo said the church leaders told Gold his behaviour was wrong and warned that if it continued he would be "disfellowshipped", or expelled, because the church disapproved of homosexual behaviour.

  They also tried to persuade Gold to go to the police.

  'Systematically groomed'

  The judge, Lord Bannatyne, said it was clear Gold's criminal conduct had "a considerable impact" on the victim.

  He said that a background report on Gold had described him as having "systematically groomed" the youngster in order to sexually abuse him.

  Defence solicitor advocate Brian Gilfedder said: "As far as the offence is concerned it is very difficult for me to stand here and say anything that could be described as mitigation.

  "The accused is well aware and has been well aware that this was wrong. It is accepted by him that a sentence of imprisonment is inevitable."

  Gold was placed on the sex offenders' register for the rest of his life and given a supervision for 40 months after his prison sentence.

  In 2009 the first steps of a monumental underwater museum called MUSA (Museo Subacuático de Arte) were formed in the waters surrounding Cancun, Isla Mujeres and Punta Nizuc. The project founded by Jaime Gonzalez Cano of The National Marine Park, Roberto Diaz of The Cancun Nautical Association and Jason deCaires Taylor, will consist of over 400 permanent life-size sculptures, becoming one of the largest and most ambitious underwater artificial attractions in the world.
  
  The Museum aiming to demonstrate the interaction between art and environmental science forms a complex reef structure for marine life to colonise and inhabit. Each of the sculptures is made from specialized materials used to promote coral life, with the total installations occupying an area of over 420sq metres of barren sea bed and weighing over 180 tons. The Cancun Marine Park is one of the most visited stretches of water in the world with over 750,000 visitors each year, placing immense pressure on its resources. The location of the sculptures will promote the recovery of the natural reefs, relieving pressure on them by drawing visitors away.
  
  To date the underwater museum comprises of 4 installations; La Jardinera de la Esperanza, Coleccionista de los Sueños, Hombre en Llamas and The Silent Evolution all by Jason deCaires Taylor. The Silent Evolution. His most ambitious work to date, is a collection of over 400 life-size figurative works forming a timeline of the changes both visually and socially in humans over the past centuries.
  
  The third stage of the museum commencing in 2011 will involve commissioning local and international artists to contribute further sculptural installations and host special underwater cultural events celebrating the Arts and Science.
