Yes, journey on, that is me and a friend, I am on the right not wearing a strapless shirt (only cause my small girls will not fit into a strapless shirt). They can barely fit into my 32AAAAAA bra, LOL

by journey-on inthis quote got me to thinking and i thought about two that i love equally and enjoy being with.
one is mrs. perfectly scheduled and doesn't leave the house unless she is totally put together.
she also knows exactly what wine goes with what meal.

Insane Email From My JW Mother

Ambition in older age - watch out you thirty somethings
by eyeslice ina couple of topics recently have made me think.
first, there was snowbird's "i think i am getting old" and the news that farrah fawcett has died at the relatively young age of 62.. also, the economic down turn has started older people wondering if retirement as we used to know it will be a thing of the past.
i am 56 years old but somehow never see myself retiring in the traditional sense of the word.. i am beginning to think that we are beginning to the time when older people will become more and more ambitious.

Please help me to chill .... quit bouncing off the walls....detox...
by SnakesInTheTower inin some ways i am add....bouncing from thing to thing...i think i have always been a bit add, even as an kid.....never diagnosed formally, but i have the symptoms.. being a jw, especially an elder, did not help that one little bit.
i was always busy doing something as a jw...field service, "studying" for meetings or some part, elder business, helping others in the congo, etc.
i rarely took the time to just unwind, relax, do something for myself..... i was always worried about doing something for others.. on the other hand, on some things, i will be ultra focused on what i am doing to the point that i will let 8 hours go by and have to be reminded to go eat....this was the case when i was a billing specialist.. i would be in the middle of some fascinating adjustment (i love numbers, data analysis, stats, etc.

Snakes, you sound normal to me...ummm...maybe I have the same tendencies...I just do not feel like I have to read into it so much...maybe I should...maybe I shouldn't...don't we all have something OCDish? Come on...really...somethimes I think we are too hard on ourselves...life is crazy...no matter who you are...just different...

I always wanted to celebrate the Holidays, I got tired of my friends at school asking me why I don't paticipate. I got tired of it because I went to so many different schools. My parents would always take me shopping during Xmas break for new clothes so that I had something new to wear at school to ease the pain. Yet, because they beat the crap out of me, I suppose they did it out of gulit looking back on it.
One year, they woke me up at 2:00am in the morning and told me we were going on a surprise vacation. When on the plane, the pilot said we were landing in Orlando, I asked my mom & dad, where is Orlando, what language do they they speak there-LOL. We obviously went to Disney World.
On some Halloweens, my non-JW aunt would sneak and take me trick-or treating, she would just use a little makeup, she made me a cat, or a mouse just my face only just so I could have a little fun.
My parents always reminded me of the 2 people in the bible that celebrated B-days, yadda yadda...how silly to think if it now.

Why's everybody getting divorced????!
by homeschool inthis is insanity!
literally four couples that i know closely & personally have told me in the last two weeks that they are divorcing their spouses.
and there are a couple on here whom i've discovered are separating as well (these two i do not know personally, but i'm a little surprised & saddened regardless).
