women - do you love being around men?
i only ask because i realise that for over 20 years i just love being around women.
it's not just for sexual reasons either, though that's important sometimes, i just really like being around women.
You know, I have had more women hurt me, then the men I knew or know now. It could be just the cards that I have been dealt. Yes, I enjoy being around men for sure. Most of the men in my life (including husband) are a bunch of smart arses, well you know what they say, you are who you hang out with.

yesterday, i was in court and was sitting in the front row going through my paperwork waiting to see if the defendant will show, i look across the walk way and there is a very large latina girl sitting directly across from me.
she was wearing a short little black dress that had a slit all the way up to ass cheek, her boobs were nearly popping out, her little black dress shoes looked as if she was baking bread in them.
now don't get me wrong i have nothing against full figured girls, however there are limits, i mean did she not know that when she sat down her dress went up over her ass?
In my humble opinion, some woman need to realize that "the right size" is more flattering then trying to be in the size that you want. I know many woman who are "curvy", maybe 10-20 lbs over their ideal weight, and they try to wear clothes that are too tight, grabbing them in the wrong areas, when all they really needed was to go up a size or two. In their mind though, its the size on the label that makes it a mental thing. We come in all different shapes and sizes, clothes fitting properly regardless of size is key.
Yet, there are some that really think they look good too, I guess more power to them, who am I to judge?

i saw this story on the news this morning.
muslims in india apparently drop their babies from a 50 foot tall temple tower for good luck.
i can't imagine doing that, i don't know anyone that would do that, and i am sure that in the usa child protective agencies would swoop down on anyone doing such a thing.
I have a little sweet 15 month old baby girl Delanie. When she falls hard by herself my heart skips a beat naturally as a mother. I couldn't imagine the mothers feeling nothing when this happens???

am a relative newbee and still a member of the borg, two weeks ago had 2 elders visit ostensibly to shepherd/correct me for sharing some personal study viewpoints which they heard had upset a bro and sis who had not bothered to contact me in the spirit of matt 18 although according to one of the elders this is one of the most abused scriptures in the bible , the r&f spillling the beans on each other to the boe and the elders listening to any hearsay and then confronting brothers, any experiences ?
also i had been seen visiting my dfd daughter and son in law ( also posters here ) this resulted in my having some basic priveledges removed,assembly attendant, pioneer, regional bc helper.. i wrote a letter of concern and copied to our co who took the time to visit me and in the presence of the elders agreed that their decision was technically wrong and not a demonstration of kindness , also that my relationship with my family was not one for a general judgement but was between my conscience and jehovah, the time i might spend with them was my affair and only if stumbling was to occur within the cong might it be flagged up for further counsel.
Well, if they are getting more "easy going" on the shunnung policy, I wonder if my dad will contact me at all since I have not seen him since 1992? I will be very curious to see if the WTBS is realizing that the shunning policy is a bit harsh and tears families apart? Too good to be true from a unified sense.

i was 16 years old when i got baptised - 1992 - it was at one of the two day assemblies.
only a few of us got baptised.
i pulled out the pictures - there i stood proudly with a friend of mine in our cosies (shirts over) towels wrapped around us.
Baptized at 16 in 89 at the Sportsman or Hawthorne race track in Chicago, IL, it was the District Convention in the summertime. I wore a white dress with hot pink polka dots and stripes at the bottom, and white shoes that looked like ballet shoes, I was absolutely beaming. When I got out there to be dunked, I saw my dad the elder in the pool, it was a surprise he was going to baptize me. It was weird. My parents were so happy, which actually made me happy since they caused me so much grief and humiliation. But my baptism day was a great day for me, no punishment.

as i read jwd today am i eating a bowl of lucky charms cereal.
it's good gereal, given the fact that the first time i ate lucky charms cereal i was in my 30's.
as i eat it i feel like a bit of a rebel.

i have been seeing reports on this over the day so thought i would bring it here.. austrian man admits holding daughter captive.
an elderly austrian man has confessed to holding his daughter captive in a basement cell for 24 years and fathering seven children with her, police said monday.
the 73-year-old man allegedly held his daughter elisabeth, now 42, and three of their children in a soundproof chamber below an apartment block in amstetten, a town near the austrian alps.
You know, the children who lived in the sound proof cellar would have health problems for sure becaue of living that way, but I do wonder if a big part of why the children are sick is because its incest!!! I knew a girl whose mom was one of 8 kids that were born from two 1st cousins in Polland. 5 of them were handicapped (rare handicaps), and the other three were lucky to be normal. 2 of them are still alive in Polland (both handicap) and the others that were normal are OK.
I wonder, and not thats its the most important issue, because this story is so very sick, but incest from father to daughter, and the daughter actually have 7 children by him!

i had many days like this but i will never forget the time that a 'prominent elder' publicaly declared that he wants to see the worldly people die at armaggeddon.

The day I left the org, that I knew my parents would let me go because I did not want to serve Jehovah their way, thats why I was sad. I was not DFd yet, so I was still a JW. It should still count.

I was homeschooled because my parents thought I was too social, so homeschooling is not an option for my kids unless something truly makes it a reason to do it, I longed to be social when I was homeschooled. I always felt smuthered by my parents. I can relate very well and remember it being very controling. The only good thing was that I graduated a year early, and not because I was a genious, but because I just kept working at it to get it done.
My older kids are social, and I think its important for them to know/learn how to be social, it teaches them how to be leaders, not followers, they will go through things socially that will help them in their adult life, it will also teach them who they are, not everyone is a leader, some wind up being followers. Who know, but kids need to be social.
