it says several things:.

Creative Days, Creation Awake
by twain30 insomething interesting in the september, 2006 awake was the article's references to the creative days and how ridiculos fundamentalists are for saying that they are each literal 24 hour periods.
according to the jaunuary 1st, 1987 watchtower on page 30, jehovah's witnesses maintain that each creative day was 7,000 years long, totalling 49,000 years.. in the face of overwhelming paleantological evidnce to the contrary; dinosaur fossils, living sea creatures that predated them, single cell life that predated the sea creatures, etc.
i submit that this view is equally ridiculous.. the society cannot abandon this view because to do so would call into question the 6,000 years of man's existence having ended in 1975. this would call into question the validity of the 6th creative day ending, now entering into god's rest...things would begin to unravel.

Those Who Hide What They Are
by twain30 ini found the watchtower study comment concerning associating with those on the internet who, "hide what they are"-ps.26:4, very disturbing and completely taken out of context.
i've watched the wbts carefully cover over important facts about the dates 1919, 1925, and 1975; shifting the blame and diverting the attention of the publishers.. having called the service dept.
on many occasions, not once have i ever received the name of the brother i was speaking with.

Initial Reactions-Assisting Inactive Program
by twain30 ina tremendous push has been made to help the inactive in our cong.
there is now an official list assigned to each book-study conductor which they must follow up on.
to me the obvious intent is to jump start the inactive or to label them as bad apples.

District Oversseer Comments On Lying

Why Is Smoking A Disfellowshipping Offense?
by twain30 inthe main reason given in the 1973 watchtower was that smoking is tied in with spiritism because the greek word which is rendered as spiritism is pharmakia' which literally means "druggery," (see galatians 5:20.
) therefore the argument was made that by smoking we put ourselves under spiritistic or demonic control.
for the last 20 years i haven't heard this reason used.. today the reasons given are that smoking shows no respect for your body as well as for life and that smoking doesn't show love of neighbor.

Using The Word "Coward"
by twain30 inone circuit overseer recently stated that those who are speaking against "mother" are such cowards that they can't even use their names, they hide their identity!
so why would you want to listen to degenerates like that?.
this called some interesting thoughts to mind: were the french resistance cowards because they hid their identities from the nazis?

The Phrase "Present Truth"
by twain30 ini am puzzled by the expression, "present truth" as used buy the wbts.
for example: "we must keep in step with present truth.
" now to me something is either true, partially true, or untrue.
