What they or anyone else does in this situation depends on whether they want to CONTROL the situation or let a bunch of self-righteous, logs in their own eye fools control the situation for them. Personally, I say take charge. Write the letter and let the chips fall where they may. It won't allow the elders to exercise their love of power through the DF process.

should I disassociate myself or wait to get disfellowshipped?
by Mrs.Congeniality inmy closes friend asked me today if her and her husband should just go ahead and write a letter of disassociation or wait to be df.
many months ago i talked with them about 607, etc.

Inquisition scheduled for tonight

i have not attended a meeting in over 2yrs.
they sent a letter requesting my presents at 8:00 pm tonight.

The fact of the matter is I lost a 16yr old son in a car accident 5yrs ago this month. My 18 yr old was permently diabled from the same accident. He lives with me and is baptised. They don't ask or say sh.. about him. They love a good witch hunt!

by greendawn inwe often talk about the best films that we have seen but what about the opposite, what were some films that really disappointed you either at the cinema or at home watching them from a dvd (or vhs though that got outdated now)?
one film i found very boring was the "horse whisperer".

"It's Alive".... 1974 cult horror film......Plot: The Davies expecting a baby which turns out to be a monster with the nasty habit to kill when it's scared.And it's easily scared... It starts out with the mother-to-be giving birth in a delivery room. All HELL breaks loose when the newborn with huge, sharp teeth kills the entire medical team. It just gets worse from there when the loving child crawls into the sewer.. Worse film of all time! The acting is just as bad. The film is banned in Finland and Norway.

Why she has been silent is easy.... she has absolutely no defense. Same thing happened to me with a DF'd 19 yr old JW girl. She was shocked when I handed her the print out. Her defense... nada. What could she have logically said?
