  I really admire how your whole family has stood up to the elders and the society over this, you stood up for what was right and risked everything because you refused to live a lie anymore. Seriously, I admire your whole family very much, you have really inspired me a lot through all this. I handed in my appeal letter today and am going to present a very good argument for 607 this next time around, and hopefully people out there on the web will see how the elders and the society refuse to listen to reason and their true nature will be brought to the fore. I know what I'm doing now is right, morally and spritually I could not take any other path. To stay in and pretend I'm one and support the lie just to keep my parents happy is not an option for me anymore. This orginization has caused to much pain and the people in charge have to much power over other peoples lives. This project is my own crisis of conscience, its my way of speaking out against the injustice done by the borg. When I think that I've actually studied with people and helped them get baptized into this cult I feel ashamed. I hope this project will redeme me in some way for what I have done.

  i posted a little about this last night but i figured i would post the rest for you guys, this is the conversation that i had last night with the sister that studied with me.

  she called me and wanted to know if i had plans for the memorial, i told her that i would not be going this year and the following is the conversation we had:.

  jw: oh no, you can't miss the memorial, if you can't make it to the one in your hall why don't you cme to ours?.

  i don't want to go but i must because my husband has to make a good showing, hey i think i will make a gorcery list and write a letter.

  i still don't know if being on the board is the right thing in jehovah's eyes, but i do appreciate the opportunity to learn about the organization and it will be my first time back to meeting after doing quite a bit of research....hmmm we will see.

  I have to go today to so I can hand in my appeal letter. What I do is print of Blonde's review of the watchtower and read it during the meeting for a laugh, it always helps pass the time a little faster.

  Yep, the whole thing went exactly the way I planed it from the beginning. I'm rather pleased with my little project, this is something I can play back 10 years from now and laugh and wonder how I ever managed to say in as long as I did.

  Welcome! I like your idea, I've been thinking about the same sort of idea, I've PM a couple people about it and am still playing with the idea, basicly here's my idea:

  The plan: Write a letter warning the general public about the destructive effects of the WTS and warning people about the dangers of joining cults. I am planning on taking the first major step towards this by setting up a PO Box for people that want to precipitate in letter a campaign as a return address. I was going to post this when it’s done, anyway the purpose would be to eventually start a non-profit type of origination, whose goal is to raise awareness of cults and help people who are looking to get out.
  
  The letter would consist of information about the policies they have which they don’t advertise (i.e., shunning, believing only JW’s are saved), silentlambs, and basic scriptural rebuttal to some of their teachings (for those looking for a religious reason) along with website addresses like freeminds and like. The idea of having a non-profit org behind it is so that the public could make anonymous donations to the cause and current witnesses could help in the campaign without worry of the letters being traced back to them.
  
  Anyway, I trying to work out all the details for this, what do you think?
