Survey for those that believe in God
by SickofLies injust out of curiosity id like to know which brand of creationism you subscribe to and why you feel it is the right one.. .
1. old earth creationism.
the belief that the earth and the universe are very old, and life was created in various stages that correspond to the way the genesis account says they do.

Ok admendment to Intelligent Design, if you believe this it doesn't mean you want it taught it public schools, it just so happens that this group tends to prsue that. I didn't mean to imply thats what you wanted. I provided 7 categories and an other, I don't think that's too narrow.

Well it would be for ex witnesses and I think more than a few ppl. would join.
Yes, I release that, but the math of the situation doesn't change. Low members of current JW's = Low rates of Ex-JW's
But I will join to support you in your quest

I doubt there would be many people from Canada that would join, given the low JW rates here, but I'd definately check it out.

People always give credit to God for all the Good things, never the bad???
by free2beme inyou only have to read the bible a small amount, to know that god does not always put his people in good situations.
sometimes he even allowed his people to be put into slavery, to make them see a lesson he wanted them to know.
so with this in mind, i am always amazed at how people in modern christian religions, always label the good in their life as god helping them and yet ignore the fact that their god might be the one who caused the problem in the first place.

Indeed, I agree with Scully, this belief is one of the main reasons that religion exists, because it feeds out need for some kind of divine justice to exist. The belief that good people have good things happen to them and that bad people have bad things happen to them, is the first step in evolving a modern justice system. The fact the most people believe this show that humans in general have evolved to expect law and order in society.
