If the G.B. and WTS don't have good motives, what is the point.....
by Mightyone inthis may be the topic of an old thread but, if the g.b.
and wts don't have good motives, what is the point of the whole religion?
i mean, it doesn't appear that anybody is getting rich or am i missing something.

If they believe it, it's only because they refuse to and/or see no reason to research their own beliefs. Rather
like most JW's they have taken everything for granted, and sacrifice all questions they might have upon the alter of
"new light" to come. Hyprocrisy and double standards, suppression and altering of information (willful deception),
dictatorship-like authoritarianism and abuse of power is not fertile soil for sincerity, honesty and candor.
Applying to them the same standards they use to adversely judge other religions clearly shows that they
are far from sincerely misguided.

The GB and other high rankers know their history just like we do. Their motives are evil because inspite of
this they continue to perpetuate untruth. If they were sincere about what they are doing, they would be open
to the questions and serious concerns expressed to them, instead of using the hammer of authority to quell
anything remotely similar to dissent in their eyes. They are on a power trip.
Their contridictions and double standards are too blantant to give them
the benefit of the doubt. Many of us have learned the hard way that the lack of love and abuse of authority seen
on the local level is the result of the example set on the higher levels. Thus a trickle down effect. Many of us
have called Brooklyn and recieved rude, unloving treatment because we asked the wrong questions or didn't
allow our intelligence to be insulted by accepting a BS answer. Many of us have had discussions with die-hard JW's
and realize that the truth (meaning the opposite of a lie) doesn't matter to them. A sincere lover of truth has the
courage to damn the consequences and stand up for what is right.

Never mind I found it. Page 621.
***
jvchap.28p.621TestingandSiftingFromWithin***As Jehovah’s Witnesses today review the work that he did, the things he taught, his reason for teaching them, and the outcome, they have no doubt that Charles Taze Russell was, indeed, used by God in a special way and at a significant time.

Could This Be The Watchtower's Endgame?
by metatron insuppose you had a business that didn't make money.
you would try to make the thing more efficient and probably lay off.

I think they will be around as long as there are people that are desperate, gullible.
in need of a feeling of saftey, superiority, etc. Just as many existing JW's
ignore the facts and desperatly cling JWism to satisfy whichever
their need is, there are others just like them. Like it's been said.
there's a sucker born everyday.

You just can't reach some people-they just don't get it!
by dawg inhey guys, album is going great so far... i hope we can finish it in 2008, around may or june.
anyway, i just had a thought which made me stop in for a while.
i was discussing something with a friend the other day, i hadn't even started speaking nor had i brought up the core of my point before he started screaming like some wild manaic; he started making up "straw man" arguments one after the other ad infinum, yelling like a banshee and accusing me of all sorts of thoughts that i don't believe... it was really bazarre.

I have come to view it as speaking to someone in a language they don't understand.
How long would you frustrate yourself talking to someone that doesn't understand a word
of what your saying? Once a logical point has been made and a JW suddenly doesn't
have the capacity to apply reason and logic, the language of common sense speak,
I don't waste my time anymore.
You know that confident look you can give someone when you know something they don't?
It's kind of a, you poor misguided moron, I feel sorry for you, look. That's what they get
from then on.

fader's wife expresses 1st doubts....
by sweet pea intalking to a friend (ex-elder) today whose wife was (is) a close friend of mine .
she's still a jdub but won't talk to me now i'm df'd (apparently it hit her very hard when we left) and so she busied herself with ministry and meetings in search of comfort and affirmation of her faith.
this didn't work for her and she came out with an unexpected question... .

When I'm asked that question I say this: If you were traveling somewhere, not knowing exactly
how to get there, but knew one thing for sure......... it wasn't South. Then you came to a cross
road that said North to the right and South to the left, which way would you go? To the right of course.
Well having come to a crossroad in my life, I don't have all the answers, but I have learned enough to
know that the WBTS is not the road God wants me to take. Do your research and you understand why.

If Walmart employees can do it and win, why can't we?
by REBORNAGAIN inwhy are we not all getting together as a group and get back at the borg for what they have done to us?
"there is strength in numbers" and definitely enough of us.
we have all suffered in similar ways, some more than others.

They no doubt would, but they would also become aware of something that the WBTS
has tried to sweep under the rug. The point is to bring awareness to the community. Let the JW's
think what they want, but when they go out in service and have to skip so many houses
because they have been added to the, do not visit list, they will have no choice but to wake up
to the reality of the situation. Who knows, something like this might even begin to get news coverage.
