I just got so sick of everyone giving YHWH such a nice little name (Yahweh or Jehovah) simply because it sounds nicer than yawa (or yhwh).
Clearly YHWH is not meant to be pronounced in four separate capitals sounded in English - Why Aich DoubleU Aich.
So I am thinking that this figment of so many disturbed imaginations- YHWH - which has resulted in so much killing in it's "name" should just be read off the page as it is without any added grace.
So in my view ya'wa', or possibly yach'wach' (since Hebrew has a penchant for gutterals) is a more fitting pronunciation and is no more or less correct than Yahweh and certainly far more accurate than Jehovah.
Since the YHWH of WT theology and JW imagination will kill at Armagedon all those who do not do obeisance to HIS () name, the WTBTS really ought to have dreamed up something closer to YHWH than "Jehoovah".

I did a unit in Sanskrit - and a little Hindi. When no vowel is specified, a short "a" is the default vowel which goes with the consonant.
So "L" is pronounced "La" unless otherwise specified.

I think that the idea's taught by the WTBTS lead inevitably to people adopting them. So for instance the WTBTS divides humanity up into classes. There are the 144,000 class, and the other sheep. Then there are demon possessed people. Apostates. and people to witness to. People find for themselves a place within this heirarchy. I want none of it.
I personally think that if you believe in taking the wine and the bread in memory of Jesus then you are perfectly entitled to doing so. And you don't have to worry about it being an exclusionary doctrine.
Do you think the '144,000' (symbolic or not) are only jews or spiritual jews? ; Then who do you think the great crowd is.. I think it's going to be ;people from every walk of life and every religion..even atheists..with the good and honest .
I actually believe that Revelation (as with the rest of the bible) cannot be trusted as a document, since no original document survives - in legal terms it is hearsay. I don't put any faith in it.
I listen to the words ascribed to Jesus but I recognise that they have been adulterated. I believe that Jesus teachings, - turn the other cheek, love thy enemy, are worthy of following because they live and breathe life. I am awed by them even right now as I think about it.

Actually I'm not in the George Bush camp. I marched against the war. More importantly I spent several years devoted to trying to shut down uranium mining in Australia, together with Indigenous traditional owners, peace and environment groups. Even spent a night in the cells for my trouble. So I tried to stop the uranium mining which ends up as depleted uranium atomised in Iraq. I also advise people to avoid investing in companies that invest in uranium mining or exploration.
I'm sure you care about the unborn children being murdered by an atomic attack on their dna, even before, during, and after conception. It will affect them after birth too for that matter.
The point of my post was that nobody can judge an unborn embryo, fetus, or child, to be subhuman or non-human.

I recommend to everyone to read Joseph Wheler "Is it God's Word", from 1926 (I'm trying to find the weblink where you can get the ebook free). Although he was a southerner with a view that the "Aryan" race was the noble race, he still does a brilliant demolition of the bible and it will be useful information for everybody. After having done a little research, below are my thoughts on YHWH.
The actions scripturally attributed to this YHWH elohim are indeed satanic.
YHWH elohim and Satan appear to be one and the same in several verses in La
Biblia, and in other parts of the Bible they keep each others company, such
as in the Book of Job. While most of the actions attributed by the Bible to
YHWH (apart from creation which is alternatively credited to Elohim or to
YY) are indeed satanic and evil, nevertheless both Satan and YHWH gods are
figments of the imagination, a very sick imagination.
The true YHWH gods of the bible reveal themselves in the book of Judges
Chapter 11. There Jephthah promises YHWH that if he is given victory over
the children of Ammon he will certainly make a human sacrifice to YHWH out
of his own household. YHWH being a figment of Jephthah’s own imagination,
does not respond, not even in his imagination. Jephthah gains victory over
the children of Ammon and superstitiously gives YHWH credit. YHWH being but
a conception of Jephthah’s own mind, does not respond. Jephthah hopes for
some form of intervention and sends his daughter away for two months to
grieve. However, unlike the story of Abraham, where the writer of Genesis
gave his YHWH some compassion, and had him call down upon Abraham not to
sacrifice Isaac, the YHWH of Jephthah’s imagination was silent, mute and
compassionless. (I am not talking about some real God here, but the
charectaristics of the YHWH of Jephthah’s imagination). And Jephthah
sacrificed his daughter.
YHWH and Satan do not exist except that we give them existence in our own
imaginations. This is the real YHWH unmasked.
