Interesting. What if they begin to compare a two-class anointed on earth as well? "It therefore seems evident, and how appropriate, for just as in heaven, there is a "ruling BODY" of 24 elders, so on earth here today, the GB represent those 24 elders that make up the "faithful and discreet slave" class today here on earth.

lol, I don't care alot for Facebook, I think they have no regard for personal privacy. That's why I never share anything personal OR use FB applications. But seriously, what's the big deal about Facebook? Why the fear mongering? Use it carefully and adjust your privacy settings. Why the big worry over facebook?

Did anyone notice this? 2-15-2010 WT Welcome to the best way of life
by baltar447 ini was taken aback that paragraph 11 basically says that a relationship with god does not even begin until after dedication and baptism.
did anyone notice this?
i've been trying to find any similar statements in the wtl but so far haven't come up with anything.

Very Shocking, Damned News: Watchtower Reports to UN Agency
by Scott77 indated august 26, 2009, from the watchtower through the european association of jehovahs christian witnesses, the organization shamelessly reports its contribution to the report of the u.n. high commissioner for human rights on the implementation of the new review mechanism of the human rights council, established by ga resolution 60/251 and by the human rights council in resolution 5/1 of 18 june 2007 for the 7th session 2010. please, see the full link to the report below.. http://lib.ohchr.org/hrbodies/upr/documents/session7/eg/eajcw_upr_egy_s07_2010_theeuropeanassociationofjehovahschristianwitnesses.pdf.
please, bring up new questions based on this report.
for a start, here is one question from my side.. 1) is the watchtower as a religious agency, constitutionally obliged to report to the un, the 'disgusting thing that cause desolation' and 'is under satan'?.

Breaking News: Police Arrest JW Elder for Creating Chaos at Hospital
by Scott77 ina jehovah witness man, kwabena afum and his wife, margret afum aka abena oduma, have had a brush with the law after creating an unnecessary chaotic scene at new edubiase government hospital in a bid to prevent medical officers from giving blood to their son.. .
kwabena afum was arrested last week tuesday and granted a police enquiry bail the next day for causing panic and chaos by allegedly mobilizing some members of his church to foment trouble at the hospital.. .
he has since disowned five-year-old jepheth asamoah, who is currently in the custody of the social welfare department in the district, even after his release.. .

I find it VERY hard to believe that they are disowning their son, but the story IS coming from Africa.... Lots of brutality to go around there. I can imagine the Branch is in a mad dash to do damage control.

"Don't Ever Come To My House Again"...says the householder!
by mentallyfree31 insince i have woken up from the horrible wt nightmare 5 months ago, i have had a chance to reflect on things that have happened over 25 years.
one of the things i keep thinking about is householders in the field that would become furious upon seeing me and say rudely "get out of here and don't ever come back to my house again!".
it always struck me as such an awful thing to say.

Scarred, it seems that some of other religions DO hate others that leave the faith they are most familiar with. Not unlike JWs.

Some of these people are probably just ignorant bigots. They might also hate jews and black people, who knows? I doubt many of them even were familiar with any of the JW teachings just fear of the unknown. Also, they may be under the impression that JW's don't believe in Jesus or some nonsense.

McAfee's big blunder
by Lady Lee ini got this from my cnet email.
mcafee's big blunder.
the reputation of software security vendors like mcafee hinges on their ability to keep customers out of harm's way.

I agree, McAfee is garbage. For businesses I recommend Trend Micro and good security polices (restrict admin access, Internet Content filtering), for home users Microsoft's new free one is good. I also like ESET Nod32 as it's low overhead on a system.

FF, It's running by default unless you install a third party firewall or disable it manually, which would be a terrible idea if you aren't behind a router/firewall. Based on what programs Terry mentioned he is using, he isn't running in a domain, thus no group policy. He didn't mention it, but he could be using a router, or his broadband modem could be providing a NAT router thus protecting him. He did not mention the OS, but it's likely XP.
