I know a bit about filmmaking, I actually run a filmmaking group in which we make video shorts. Why are you looking for filmmakers?

I think I've reached that point in life where I hate my job and will always hate my job
by Elsewhere inremember when you were a kid and you saw the funny bits in shows about how someone hates their job and just goes to work to pay the bills.
i think i've reached that point in my life.. i hate my job.. i used to love the work i do... but the way a corporation crushes your soul and leaves you as an empty husk of your former self has finally taken its toll on me.. i used to look forward to the challenges of work... now i wake up, go to work, do what i have to do to get through the day and then go home.. .
it's totally absurd but i find myself literally fantasizing about winning the lottery so i can get my soul back..

wow, a lot of unhappy campers here. Hey elsewhere, long time no see. I hope you can resolve the problem, maybe get involved in something that take you out of your comfort zone and challeges you a bit. Join some groups on meetup.com, it's a blast.
I'm still a carpenter (and I like my job) but I am about to graduate and will be attending graduate school next. Education is a lot of fun, there is so much to learn. Maybe taking some courses can get you out of your rut, it's worth a try.
Take care my friend, I'm sure you will figure things out.

Bible says God confused peoples languages at Babel....is this childish nonsense?
by Witness 007 inyeah so in genesis we read how people began building a tower which would reach up to jehovah in heaven....must have been damn tall....rather then just stop them, god changes everyones language.....one guys speakin french.....another speakin russian and so on!
can't finish the tower now can they!!
this is not very scientific......does anyone believe this is how languages got started???

Overpopulation in the "Paradise" Earth!
by Leolaia injw doctrine teaches that the 1,000 years of christ corresponds to "judgment day," and everyone who has not already been judged will be resurrected from the dead.
the exceptions would be those who died during the flood, the destruction of sodom and gomorrah, and a few odd individuals.
but that's only the people living today.

Wow, this is my first post in a while. Reading everyone's posts is encouraging. I will be finished with my bachelors degree this year. Majoring in psychology in one of the CUNY schools (City University of New York). Surprisingly, I have a 4.0 GPA (hopefully I'll still have it when I graduate). I plan on going to graduate school next year if things work out.

Watchtower Writers - Prayer Specificity - Quantum Physics
by ataloa inwhere do the watchtower writers get their information?
are they free to research anything they like?.
several years ago there was an article that said we must be specific in our prayers.

The watchtower writers use both reliable and unreliable sources, which for the most part isn't referenced in the articles. They comb through publications looking for support of their positions. They decide what is truth and then publish it. Remember, the watchtower isn't publishing scholarly articles (otherwise they would have to publish references and use scholarly works). They are publishing religious propaganda that support their position and is carefully worded to indoctrinate people, both inside their organization and outside. Unfortunately, many people aren't diligent when it come to checking out the publication or the organization. But the truth about them is now easily accessible, at least to those in developed countries.
