  The Trinity... is it a false teaching as the WTBTS claims?

  in the old testament god revealed himself to his chosen people, the israelites as i am:.

  ex 3:14-15 - god replied to moses, i am who i am.

  this is what you are to say to the israelites: i am .

  From the time I was a little girl going to church, not knowing that the church I attended believed in the Trinity.....My notion was that Jesus by God's Holy Spirit was put into the womb of a Virgin called Mary. Jesus was a perfect man and so he in his perfection could give his life for our inherited sin from Adam. He died and was raised up from the dead on the thrid day. He now waits on the right side of his Father until the time of the resurrection of the dead on earth, he being the first born of the dead. Jesus will rule the earth and the dead that were rasied up to live on earth will never die.

  So what I am trying to say is I always saw Jesus and God as two different enities. The Holy Sprit was part of God like knowledge or a feeling he chose to gave out to us for our benefit if we ask him sincerly in prayer.

  Of course that was before the JWs came knocking at my door and I read of the 1000 years of Jesus Kingdom before he handed it over to God his Father.

  I am no longer a JW. I still believe however that Jesus and God are two and not one....

  The WTS anointed are like the Pharises in Jesus parable recorded in the book of Luke 18: 9-14

  9 But he spoke this illustration also to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and who considered the rest as nothing: 10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and began to pray these things to himself, ‘O God, I thank you I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unrighteous, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week, I give the tenth of all things I acquire.’ 13 But the tax collector standing at a distance was not willing even to raise his eyes heavenward, but kept beating his breast, saying, ‘O God, be gracious to me a sinner.’ 14 I tell YOU , This man went down to his home proved more righteous than that man; because everyone that exalts himself will be humiliated, but he that humbles himself will be exalted.”

  Tom Paines...letter to a Christian friend...(it's good!)

  on may 12, 1797 while living in paris, france tom paine wrote the following letter to a christian friend who was trying to convert paine to christianity.

  paine's response fits perfectly with what's often discussed here on jwd.. .

  "in your letter of the twentieth of march, you give me several quotations from the bible, which you call the word of god, to show me that my opinions on religion are wrong, and i could give you as many, from the same book to show that yours are not right; consequently, then, the bible decides nothing, because it decides any way, and every way, one chooses to make it.

  no i haven't read the replies to my last post although i'm finding it hard to resist.. but let me just add some things.

  there is no doubt that some of you 'apostates but you don't even know it' thought you have given some very clever respones.. just to clarify, i've had my share of the world and i'm glad i'm out of it, you however are hanging around on a jw site this is my first and last day of looking on here - and i'm only on here to wnd you lot up, .

  how easy was it really - i'm off sick, how many of you just haven't got anything better to do.

  jehovah's witnesses will be experiencing a special treat during their co (circuit overseer) visit this season: a bona-fide pledge drive.. during the thursday night meeting the normal co talk will instead be a video entitled:.

  building kingdom halls advances true worship.

  this 30-minute advances video is well produced and explains the watchtower society's program to build simplified kingdom halls in third-world and poor countries were materials and funds are scarce.. interviews and footage focus on south america, africa and eastern europe.

  let me start by saying this is simply a theory.

  a theory is just an idea that hasn't been proven right or wrong.

  until tests have been done to get proof it is just an idea.. what we know:jws are systematically taught to think within the narrow constructs of wts teachings.
