geoffrey jackson was 20 years old in 1975, he was not at risk of being drafted for viet nam because he was too young at the time.. sam herd and guy pierce were 21 the year sputnik was launched.. gerrit losch was 20 at the dawn of flower power and the free love era in the united states.
of course, his circumstances were very different in the country in which he was located.. david splane, stephen lett, and anthony morris were all of an age to be at risk for the viet nam draft.. a brief rundown of historical context for 7 of the 10 current gb members.

Pink slips at Bethel
by beavis indoes anyone still have any friends at bethel?
it seems that there is a massive layoff at bethel in all three american complexes.
the layoff is supposed to affect everyone between the ages of 35-50 or maybe 60. i feel sorry for persons who chose to stay there, they gave up going to college, possible job offers or making a decent amount of money, having children, the list can go on and on.

Totally lame. The same picture they always use. Damn, can't they at least paint some new pictures? It's always the guy with Dockers, and an L.L.Bean shirt, doing gardening with his ethnic self, smiling, pushing a wheelbarrow around with tons of fresh fruit and vegetables. Like he just can't wait to eat that eggplant meddley again, for the 4 millionth time.

It's the WTS who deserves to be penalized. However, they've got things set up in a way that makes these Missionaries™ out to be independent of the Organization™.
If the Missionaries are arested by the police in China? Do you mean the WTS will not do a damn thing to help them?
