Here is where I am confused. I DON'T read the Watchtower and AWAKE magazines or any book or booklets any more so you can correct me if I am wrong. The chart that David Splane used in his presentation is not the same as the chart that btlc posted. Is the chart that btlc posted located in print in a current Watchtower publication?

need to "stay alive to xx75" to prove wt wrong? again?
by prologos inyou dont have be alive to 2075 to prove that the wt's anointed generation is and will prove to be wrong, it is!
and you can do it now, by asking just one question:.
does the "generation" prophecy of math.

Prologos, I am trying to follow your line of reasoning. Can you please show me where the Watchtower error is staring us in the face. Thanks.

Another "pull the football away just before you can kick it" comment made by Circuit Assembly's special guest, Thomas Chicky
by sir82 ini started a thread on this guy's comments about building kingdom halls here.. the guy also said this (again, not a word for word quote, but the gist of his comments):.
"the primary hope of salvation is the resurrection.
jehovah does not promise anyone that he will survive armageddon.

But the method of presentation remains the same, just modernized. "Everything old is new again"

More wasted ink, paper, production time and unfulfilled human lives and potential!
Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses: creating more personal confusion , unhappiness, inordinate guilt, unnecessary shame, personal humiliation, unneeded deaths and wrecking human lives and potential since 1879!

This is a very sad commentary on Jehovah's Witnesses and their ability to reason in general. I still attended meetings sporadically on Sunday ( 5 or 6 times a year) up until about 5 years ago. One of the things that absolutely broke my heart was a similar comment made by an Elder that I had the utmost respect for. This Elder was like a father/ uncle/ older brother to me and although he wasn't perfect I respected him very much and knew that he was sincere in his beliefs. His family really was a model family. At any rate, this Elder made the comment at a Watchtower study as follows: 'Our real hope is the resurrection and that has been our only hope all along!', I could not believe what I had just heard. I had known him almost my entire life and he talked constantly about the nearness of Armageddon and doing whatever was needed to survive into the New World. Before I went to Bethel in 1974 we stood on his side porch and he said to me: "Sparky, I envy you going to Bethel. That is going to be the best place to be when Armageddon strikes". Now that he is about 80 years old what can he say? He has to delude himself in order to silence his nagging doubts and inner voices. I hate what this religion does to normal human beings.

The con is completed - comments from the US branch's LDC chief
by sir82 inrecently attended a special assembly day.. guest speaker was thomas chicky, a member of the us branch committee and the head of the us ldc (which has replaced the rbcs).. the last talk of the day is scheduled for an hour.
it was the usual boring mumbo-jumbo.
he appeared to have blasted through his hour-long outline in just about 45 minutes, so he "treated" us to informal comments on recent developments.. he commented on the new wt complex in fishkill ny.. then he dropped the bomb (well, to anyone with ears and at least 2 functioning synapses).. the following is not a word for quote, but presents the gist of his comments:.

JW eBay Feedback Comment "Time Is Running Out!"
by pale.emperor inso i did a huge book clearout before i moved house a few weeks ago.
among the books for sale were some watchtower books that had become obsolete, old light or had since been "clarified" by the society.
so i thought they'd be wanted by ex-jw's or active apostates for their research.. unfortunately, it looks like an active jw is so brainwashed that they not only bought the "old light" version of gods kingdom rules but they even suggested that i read it because "time is running out".

Typical Jehovah's Witness self satisfied, myopic, subjective opinion masquerading as fact!
"Excellent book" :subjective opinion; others may find it to be trash and worthless.
"Should have read it yourself": subjective opinion; unless you directly stated that you have never read the publication the person is actually making an untrue accusation.
"Time is running out": subjective opinion; what time is running out and for whom? Where is the objective evidence and what is the criteria for the statement that 'time is running out'?
The average Jehovah's Witness is absolutely, positively convinced that they each have the unequivocal truth about life and the future. Then when their Governing Body makes a complete 180 degree turn on dogma and articles of faith, they still cling to the indefensible stance that they alone have the market cornered on 'truth'. A sad commentary on the human condition, indeed.

The Great Crowd!
by A Believer innotice the 144000 can be counted and they all come from israel.. 9 after this i saw, and look!
a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues,*+ standing before the throne and before the lamb, dressed in white robes;+ and there were palm branches in their hands.+ .
this great crowd, no man was able to number, and they come from every nation!

I refuse to participate in any thread involving A Believer again.
He or she lives in a "reality distortion field" and is not here to discuss anything with an open mind. He or she is here to "preach the Watchtower Gospel" to all the 'heathens' that will take the bait. However, much like an accident on the highway, I just can't look away. For me, it is free entertainment to watch A Believer engage with many of the posters here and still not learn ANYTHING nor capitulate when presented with indisputable facts.

Despite their false predictions aren't the JWs right? Won't the world eventually end & Paradise come?
by deegee inaren't there christian denominations who do not make false end of the world predictions but who nevertheless believe that the world will eventually end and paradise (whether in heaven or on earth) will come?.
it seems the watchtower was just jumping the gun when they made false end of the world predictions but they are nevertheless the right: the world will eventually end and paradise will come..
