  Leaving story

  i've been following this forum for a couple of years now, but it's only just now that i've decided to register.

  it's been quite a long and strenous process leaving the org, having been borned and raised in and spent so much time in.

  i'm so gratefull there's the internet these days which helps new people find their way out of this and other religions.

  been reading this site for awhile now.

  i have had a long and often tragic life as a jw.

  my story is so long because i'm pretty old :) i feel sad i've been locked in fear and guilt for my entire life.

  Not a sympathizer

  i think everyone here is under the impression that i am a watchtower sympathizer, i am not.

  i just like facts and when people say things, which are their opinions but that facts point out as not being true, than that is when i get so motivated to make a comment.

  i have read posts here, listened to six screens and read jwsurvey and seen things that people say, which are opinion, but pass them off as fact.. there are legitimate things that people on here and former jws have concerns over without manipulating what is said or trying to pass off opinion as a fact.

  after much research and prayer i am returning to being a jehovah's witness i can find nothing that eliminates them from being god's directed people , in the end they will reach the end of there journey despite mistakes and errors just like the israelites entered the promised land , thanks for your input and all the best on your personal journey ☺.

  JW requesting food assistance to Babylon the Great.

  barcelona (spain), jan 8, 2017 at 1.30 pm.

  two publishers of the tagalog group in barcelona (public meeting at 4.30 pm) do visit an evangelical church barcelona downtown to receive free food bags.... i can confirm that the queue was long.

  the pastor in charge of this church has not allowed me to take picture of some older jw living barcelona downtown, but i was able to catch these young publishers.

  Same thing where I live, sb74bb. A 'sister' in her 60's was getting her weekly food at the local Methodist church food pantry. She did this for years!. When I was still on speaking terms with some of the elders at the hall I used to attend, I mentioned this to some of them. They looked at me like I had 'two heads' and just shrugged their shoulders.

  exjw's of a certain age will remember randy's site well.

  freeminds was instrumental in waking me up along with ray franz's books.

  if net soup and armageddon okies mean nothing to you you're probably under 30.. whatever caused randy to post what he did recently is something i can only guess at but it won't be what i remember him for.. randy, i wish you well and thank you for all you've done over the years .

  Watchtower Annulled My Baptism

  contrary to popular belief you can have your baptism annulled as i did by my local elders after my judicial hearing.. the watchtower of 1964 page 126 first paragraph clearly states that anyone that was committing a gross sin before, during and after their baptism is void.

  in order to get right with the lord you would need to be re-baptised.

  err no thanks, i'm not a believer!!!!.

  This happened to a man that I studied with in the early '70's. He was an alcoholic and confessed to the Elders after his baptism. His baptism was considered null and void and he never returned to the hall after that.

  overall the numbers are better than last year (1.8% growth compared to 1.5% last year -- as i predicted ;-) ) with an increase in all major figures including 1300 more congregations (i assume this is not physical kingdom halls?).
