JW org collapses
by I Faded Twice inok so this is a topic i've pondered and go back and forth on.. i can easily see a point where lawsuits cause massive deficits in the organization.
honestly i feel like we are seeing the tip of the iceberg in regards to lawsuits on child abuse.
to me it looks like the property sell offs are to be able to get ready for this.

I believe that this is the most current research by PEW. (I could be wrong) At any rate, the chart shows that 48% of Jehovah's Witness households income at less than $30,000.00 a year . If this is true, it does not bode well for the religion as a whole.........it could mean that Witness income is dropping over time which would mean less donations for the Governing Body to spend on their pedophile defense fund. (Sorry, I tried to post the chart that this data was taken from but for some reason it will not upload for me.)

WT Recruiting JW Solicitors (Lawyers)
by AverageJoe1 inwe all know how much the watchtower abhors "higher education" and that apparently jehovah thinks it is a big waste of time.
at least that is their official stance.
it might come as a shock to you that this month they have started a campaign drive to actually recruit jws who have higher education, specifically those who have legal training.. with all the law suits against them for creating an environment that is friendly to paedophiles, it is thus no wonder that they are in need of solicitors, especially those who are sympathetic towards the cult.. talk about hypocrisy!.

Here is a letter from the Australian Branch from 2015 basically asking about the same credentialed and educated professionals in Australia. Notice that this was done surreptitiously; behind the publishers back!

Imperfection is the charm of life, not a curse
by Ireneus inthere is no charm in going to a cricket match after knowing the result.
similarly, there is no charm in living if there is nothing left to know.
we are surrounded by both—knowledge and mystery.

I'm sure that this poor unfortunate human being does not find their physical imperfection to be 'charming' but more likely a 'curse'.

How Long Before They Introduce Tithing?
by pale.emperor inwhen i was a full-on believing jw i had an obsessive fascination with mormonism.
i read, studied and watched their propaganda with strange interest as well as their apostate mormon books.
i have to say, they have a good scam going claiming that "the lord reintroduced tithing" in the modern age.

I have often thought that they would introduce 'Melchizedekian Tithing'. Since Jesus is the Greater Melchizedek according to Watchtower theology I have imagined that they could possibly get involved in this. The tithe Abraham gave to Melchizedek was separate from the tithing introduced under the old law covenant. They could teach that this was a type/antitype principle that never passed away. Some evangelicals already teach something similar to this:

Bethelites Vow Of Poverty
by pale.emperor informer governing body assistant howie tran has shared his bethel vow of poverty contract.
it reads rather culty.
i think clause number 9 is particularly worrying...to adhere to, not the bible alone, but also the watchtower literature and the governing body.

" I am a doubter, beginning on that path." - Doubter (from his profile page)
I will cut you some slack and accept that you are sincere in posting here and want to learn some things about Jehovah's Witnesses and Bethel that you were not aware of. I won't question your sincerity in why you do and say the things that you do on this forum. Neither Morpheus nor I made any claims as to being "forced" into Bethel service. As ex-Bethelites we do have a right to express our opinion on what it was like to 'serve' there.

My older Bethelite friends told me that he was gay and a big disappointment to Knorr. Of course, this is second hand information and I was not at Bethel when he was 'kicked out'. Any ex-Bethelites here around 70 years old could probably corroborate the story.

"That contract is a one way street. I know from personal experience." - _Morpheus
No shit. You were not a human being to most of the Bethel Overseers. You were a dispensable cog in the WATCHTOWER Organization.
This is what the vow should look like:
Be grateful for your food!
Do your job!
Shut your mouth!
