the magazine starts with an article dedicated to the 100th anniversary of that all important year on which the gb's authority hangs, 1919. the article ends with several rapid fire assertions:.
by the end of 1919, jehovah’s peoplewere reorganized and energized.
"By the end of 1919...Jehovah's people had been released from their symbolic captivity to "Babylon the Great" ".
Except of course, after this date they still celebrated Christmas, still believed in the symbol of the Cross, and still celebrated birthdays. More rewriting and white washing of the true history of the Jehovah's Witness religion.
i am having trouble locating what is the 1914 prophecy?
jw.org states that the jw's accurately predicted the events of 1914, but do not indicate what the predictions were, or the specific fulfillments.
what do jw's think they are (predictions/fulfillments)?

my july 4, speech on patriotism.
the last person in my family to serve in the armed forces was my uncle jack during the korean war.
he suffered a skull injury but fully recovered.. .
I enjoyed your speech, Terry. It seems in this day and age that many people are confusing patriotism with Nationalism. A very slippery slope indeed. Nationalism is a corrosive, collectivistic, polarizing ideology that can destroy a nation. Patriotism builds up the individual and his country but not at the expense of creating and enforcing 'tribalism'.
over the past few days i have twice visited screwfix - a uk nationwide company which sells tools & fixings.. on my first visit, i informed the store assistant of the item i required.
she immediately said, "post-code?".
i informed her that it was a cash sale and there was no need to give information.
Here in the US many stores now ask for your cell phone number. The company that I am affiliated with does this surreptitiously. They issue you a rewards card and the pin is your cell phone number. Now they have your cell phone captured and use it in 'geo-fencing'. They follow your movement through the cell phone and can tell when you are purchasing from a competitor. FU@K THAT! I threw my manual on this procedure in the trash!
in several congregations i attended many elders were downright evil and flat out drunk with power.. many times i personally knew of things done by them that would have been a disfellowshipping offense had they not been elders.
and even though many times these issues and spiritual atrocities were reported to the co's and hq they would many times (if not all the time), get off with a mere slap on the wrist or a forced apology.. why do you believe elders are so protected?.
my theory is the authority integrity within the congregation.

Dave Meyers died in 2015. He never got to see the Great Tribulation, Armageddon, or the New System of things. But he is of the 'Overlapping Basketball Players Generation' with Darren Collison...so maybe Darren will see these things in his lifetime. As an interesting side note, I was regifted a gold watch from a friend of mine that received it from Dave. It was stolen from me in 1977.

I know of an Elder that just recently passed away and left six figures ($250,000.00) to the organization. Part of his fortune was made from selling land to a ...CHURCH.
when i converted in 1961 ,the po and his assistant who by the way was his fleshly brother were both life insurance salesmen , { i know ,why didn`t red flags show up then }.
and the 4 different congregations we attended over the next 10 years in vic,aust,the majority of the brothers had jobs to go to.. we then went to s.e.
qld,for the next 37 years and the majority of the brothers their were self employed one way or another in the building game ,either as plasterers ,actual builders ,tilers , and painters ,electricians , as well as everyday jobs.. my son worked for an elder who owned his own cabinet making business.
I know OF an Elder that just passed away within the last year or so. He held one full time and one part time job up until retirement. He never, ever believed in the 1975 doctrine and lived his life mostly the way he wanted to. He left six figures ($250,000.00) to the religion and his wife is financially set for the rest of her life. Some of his fortune was made by selling some property to a...CHURCH.
