Twelve years after being chosen as the so-called 'Faithful and Discreet Slave' they were still using the 'cross' as a Christian symbol. Would you care to tell me why Jehovah and Jesus allowed this if they indeed had the truth? And as a side note, current teaching is that the 'faithful and discreet slave' will be appointed over 'Christ's' belonging's in the future. You are teaching 'old light' in your post. You need to reread the July 2013 Watchtower article entitled: Who Really is The Faithful and Discreet Slave?

Who really is the faithful and discreet* slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?
by Alex Williams inthis statement was answered in a form of a question to a question posed by one of his followers;.
jesus realized that composite slave had to qualify for such an appointment when he came into power of his kingdom promised by jehovah god.
[and they came to life and ruled as kings with the christ+ for 1,000 years].

"where do they go to the toilet? In a bucket?"- pale.emperor
Why of course! Jehovah and Wal-Mart will provide!
Imagine the stench in the 110 degree attic when some poor slobs have to take a shit into the same bucket one right after the other. I'd rather take my chances in a prison cell. At least I might have a little more privacy and would be able to maintain a modicum of human dignity.
Also, who will be assigned to sneak out to the nearest drug store to fill all the Witness prescriptions for Prozac, Valium, Lithium, Effexor and on and on....And the liquor store runs for the Elders will make Tony's shopping spree look like child's play.

How did Adam and Eve survive when kicked out of the Garden of Eden?
by I believe in overlapping init’s funny how a simple question like this is something that the dubs never even consider.
my dad asked this question to a couple of witnesses and they wondered for a minute and said; .
“i never thought about it, i’ll have to ask the elders”.

Adam: 'Hey Eve, what's for supper?'
Eve: 'Corn on the cob.'
Adam: 'Again? Jesus Christ Eve...we've had corn on the cob for the last 1,914 meals'
Eve: 'If it's good enough for the Aztec's, it's good enough for you.'
Adam: 'I die a little every day eating this crap!'

Actually, I found the movie to be a great homage to the time period. As a watch collector, I always look to see what the main characters in a movie are wearing. I was not disappointed! The Brad Pitt character was wearing a 'Bulls Head' chronograph which would have made him ultra cool at the time. It was no 'Paul Newman' Rolex but still in line with what a Cliff Booth of that time period could afford.
And for you Sharon Tate fans, this was probably her best work:

Thanks for the clarification, peacefulpete. As one who suffers from Gluten Sensitivity ( Not to be confused with Celiac Disease) I find that misinformation on the subject is rampant. Just because fad dieticians and Hollywood influencers have 'picked up the cause' and pontificate on the 'evils' of gluten doesn't mean that gluten containing products are harmful for the average human being. In fact, a person that removes grains from their diet is missing out on nutrients and fiber that helps keep them healthy. People shouldn't assume that just because they have digestive issues that gluten is to blame. The only way to know if you have Celiac Disease or Gluten Sensitivity is to have your doctor perform an antiendomysial antibody blood test and or a biopsy on your small intestine.

Don't be too hard on yourself, Van. Perhaps your enthusiasm to show them the error of their ways mutated into anger when you found them to be not even the slightest bit receptive? Although I don't share your 'Christian/religious worldview' , I have always found you to be dignified and kind when sharing your ideas here and I respect you very much. Forgive yourself for an indiscretion, learn from your son and move on. "In any given moment, there is more right with you than wrong with you" - Jon Kabat-Zinn

"Of course child abusers are not true jws, because I think those would never do this." - AshleyCollins
Say this out loud a few times and then think about it:
"Of course child abusers are not true Catholics, because I think those would never do this."
The Catholic Church has a child abuse issue and Jehovah's Witnesses have a child abuse issue. Both are equally culpable before their god and the state.
