Car boot sales are for gypsies and illegal immigrants.
Normal members of society should never attend. They sap the life force out of you.
So based on that I spose it'd be ok for jw's to go to car boot sales! LOL!

Can the women wear pants YET?
by annalice ini have not been an active witness active for several years now.
so are the women still being forced to wear skirts and dresses still?
i really think that the whole dress thing has been for some time now very outdated.

I always thought the no trousers rule for sisters was ludicrous when I was a dub, but I kind of understand why they do it.
It's because of those that would abuse it if they allowed trousers. Some would take it too far and not wear smart trousers but turn up to the kh in denim or combats or something really tight showing off the 'camel toe'.
Even though I'm not really religious now I'm df'd, I do think it's disrespectful to go into any place of worship wearing scruffy attire. That goes for men as well as women. -

Crackdown on Marriages
by sammielee24 inthe latest rumblings are that the wtbts may start coming down hard on anyone who marries outside the faith.
jw's who choose to marry a non believer will be df'd.
i would imagine those marrying unbaptized ones will be marked or told to get the spouse baptized or get df'd.

I hope they do df all those married to unbelievers. That means my sister will be df'd and then I get her back. It's a fantastic dream but I don't think it'll happen, they'd lose too many members!

Vacations and internet worries
by greendawn inmy holiday is drawing to a close on 5th september, trying to find internet places to post is not that easy most here are too expensive at 5 or 6 euro per hour, some are reasonably cheap but filled with cigarette smoke or too noisy due to music played at too high a volume or too many kids playing games while shouting and giggling.
and hopefully the connection will be reasonably fast, the keyboards wil work properly, and the monitor will not make your eyes dizzy.
i missed the internet at home being on line in peace and quiet and in a smoke free environment.

Possable "New Light"?
by 2112 inwith all the "buzz" around the up-comming october anouncment, i have a question.
i have thought about this for a long time, is it possable that they would tell all those married to non-witnesses to divorce their mates?
it could be for the reason of "unevenly yoked", and/or keeping spritually clean.

I reckon the announcement could be that all jw's should get rid of their computers.
The GB are afraid that the rank and file are reading too much common sense on sites such as this.
Just a thought. -

Drop Dead Gorgeous!
by Outaservice inback when i was attending kingdom halls, our circuit had a lot of 'drop dead gorgeous' women, many whom were married to the geekiest looking guys.
i always asked myself, "how did these 'dorks' do it"!.
was this because selection was limited, or was this just a peculiarity in our area?

I know soooo many gorgeous girls married to total geeks.
Usually the geek has a great personality and the gorgeous girl is about as vivacious as a wet mop.
A match made in heaven? -

I never did it, did you?
by Outaservice in.
in the past whenever you went on vacation (holiday) did you try and find a kingdom hall to attend and also try and put in some service time?.

The only time I ever went to meetings or on service whilst on holiday, was when my ex husband and I went and stayed with some jw friends in spain. We were poor pioneers and had no choice.
We actually attended all the meetings over the course of 2 weeks and went on service twice. Uhhh!!
And we didn't understand a word of it. -

LOL!! Loads of funny answers.
Katie I loved your bit about a sister doing it but having to wear a teatowel on her head. How were we ever part of that madness???
