-30 Wind Chill and the meeting WAS NOT Cancelled...What Idiots
by bronzefist init's -5 with a minus 30-35 wind chill factor here so you would think the "loving elders" would cancel the sunday borefest.....nope.
just got a call...."well of course it was your choice, but there were 70 in attendance this morning!!!".
there have been meetings cancelled because of heavy snow, but give me a break going out could be dangerous.

You should make a stand and not attend yourself! Set a 'sane' example to the others!!!!

I am so sad, that words just fail me. I've never met anyone quite like Ian before, he was a genuinely lovely man.
My thoughts go out to Clair and all his children. Your grief must be overwhelming at the moment.
All I can say is that my life was better for having known him.
Rest in peace.

Welcome Baby Meadow Joanne
by diamondblue1974 intoday (29th august 2008) at 5.22pm baby meadow arrived weighing 6lb 7oz; she was born at home in a birthing pool without any medical interventions other than gas and air; both mother and baby are well (although dawn is well and truly exhausted from a 12 hour birthing).
i am immensely proud of them both.
today my world was made complete!.

Just thought I'd mention that because you gave birth 2 weeks early, she'll start school a year earlier. As soon as she turns 4 she'll be off and she'll be the youngest in the class. If you'd given birth on your due date she'd have started a year later a few days before turning 5 and would've been one of the oldest in her class.
It's kinda sad isn't it? Make the most of those 4 years, because trust me, they'll wizz by and before you know it she'll be waving goodbye to you as she starts her reception year.

Does this weeks' Service Meeting touch on how to treat df'd relatives?
by Bonnie_Clyde ina friend of clyde's, who is an ubm but attends meetings anyway, called today to say that their was a part on last night's meeting that was very hard hitting on how to treat disfellowshipped relatives.
he thinks his wife was being singled out because she recently spent several days at her daughter's home to help out with her new baby.
the daughter was disfellowshipped over 10 years ago for living with her boyfriend, but now they have been legally married for quite some time.

Why can't they keep their big fat noses out of people's family affairs?
I wish something could be done legally to stop them doing stuff like this.
