My cat is a freak!

we adopted an abandoned kitten almost a year ago.

at the time, she was just a little ball of fluff and my youngest found her caught in the hedge near the house.

she couldn't have been more than 5 weeks old at the time.. she's recently gotten into the habit of chewing plastic.

UncleBruce, she looks like my kitty. It is sad when you lose a pet, they are great they love you regardless of your beliefs. :)

i feel pretty depressed tonight for the first time in a while.

i came damned near getting in a fight tonight at work.

there's a black guy who "works" in lumber named jr. he's loud, obnoxious, proud of being dishonet, lazy, and disrespectful to women.

MadTiger - I am sure that regardless of the race or gender of a person, you would agree that someone who is stealing or lying so that it effects your life would be upsetting. John Doe I am sure that you are not trying to make a blanket statement that all "black" people are dishonest.

Boyz - race is a hypersensitive subject and as the movie Crash pointed out to all of us that it does exist in all forms by ALL people of ALL races. How about we just try to get along and support eachother. If you find this thread too upsetting maybe the best thing to do is read other threads that you don't take offense to.

A question on " 1975 "

i was reading some of the first " topics " on this db and i noticed that a few former elders and publishers .

were stumbled by this date.... i was born after 1975 and i'd really appreciate any comments from brothers and sisters who were around .

what i've noticed from personal experience is that many brothers and sisters feel that only " a few " were stumbeled .

My grandparents and parents did not fall for the 1975 thing, but many in the hall did. However, it did bother my grandfather to the point today that he says that the Society threw out the idea and allowed people to run with it that way when it did not happen they could come back with the whole - we never printed that 1975 was THE year. So it is like watching politicians, "I never said that ...." Semantics. It is funny, bros that give talks at the assembly are hawked about anything they say, you mean to tell me that they were not hawked then? so if they did say something their @$$ was not grass when they walked off that stage. There were some families we knew of that went out and bought and bought with the thinking they would not have to pay it back. But again how is that the JW way of thinking - material gains. So much of it did not make sense. But it was real, based on your elders, PO, CO, if they bought into it we heard it from the platform.

SuzieQ - I don't remember that at all. I remember what Flyinghighnow remembers, it was those who were rez would not be able to marriage or have kids. How everyone came up with that theory was beyond me. Also, why they speculated on it and taught it was also beyond me.

Can you be disfellowshipped for missing the Memorial ?

have you ever heard of a jw being disfellowshipped for missing the memorial on purpose ?.

I knew of people who missed the memorial on purpose and on accident and nothing happened to them. For those who missed on purpose, they got counseled - don't you think it shows a lack of love for Christ and the ransom to miss this time. From what I understand they talked to him further and he further and later he was PR but never DF'd. He said the reason he was PR was for a bad attitude. But again, I have never heard of the specific reason someone got DF'd was for missing a memorial. As for the case of the Aussie who did get ax for failure to make the memorial, sounds like they were looking for a reason to DF the guy. So I guess that would be the question you need to ask yourself, are they looking for a reason to DF me.

I was told by my vet that it was because I did give her enough exercise. So now I try and play with the cat as much as possible. It does seem to have helped. But I also keep most plastic things away from her.

What is the favorite thing that you cat does? Mine likes to sit on the top of my head and burrow her head in my hair and then just purrs and purrs. I love that.

Well it will probably come out eventually if it was or not. But based on the location of the indicident, to me I would not be surprised if it were another religion.

Help me to make a decision

my endocrinologist tells me that my lymphocytes are chronically elevated.

i have headaches all the time.

I think you should go to a nutritionist. They will be able to tell you what imbalances you have. Your body may be in flight or fight mode at all times which causes your body to overuse energy and not be able to restore it when you rest. My suggestion, have someone check out your adrenal glands. My guess is that they are out of whack. The nutritionist will most likely put you on a cleanse and those suck for the first week or so but then you are fine. You will find you have more energy. I am not trying to be disrespectful to your profession, but sometimes modern medicine does not help in certain circumstances and you may need holistic medicine. You should test the waters and see if it works for you. Good luck on your quest for health.

There are some Jamacian religions that use the name. I have heard other use it but I don't know what religion they are but I know they are not JWs

Hey someone commented that the guy smiles with his mouth shut, what does that mean? Good thing it was a painting and not a photo, because would his image even appear?

P.S. don't get me wrong I liked Freddie, I met him too as a kid. All I remember was every time he talked I had my hand cupped under his chin because I was positive his false teeth were gone to come flying out. YIKES
