Looking for an easy way to scan books to pdf

i have some old jw books that are now in the public domain i'd like to scan and provide to the ex-jw community.

can anyone provide suggestions on the cheapest way to scan the book into digital form?

i will be using adobe standard to bookmark and ocr the text.

my father sent/forwarded this e-mail to me and from what i can tell it is being circulated among many jws.

all it contain was a recommendation to see this movie called expelled.

So Ben, if life is too complex to have evolved, who created God? O wait, he always existed? What if the universe has always existed?

i participated in several discussions on this forum regarding the self reported statistics of jehovah's witnesses and the deep fundamental flaws in their methods.

after arguing with my jw family about these issues, i encountered today a new independant religious survey from the pew forum on religion and public life.

this survey was huge in scope of test group when compared with other similar surveys, including more than 35,000 u.s. adults.

One more thing, the margin of error at the 95% confidence level is 7.5%. This means that if you asked a a random sample of 100 witnesses and ex-witnesses you would find that 56 to 70 of them had been born into the religion and then left as adults.

What does this mean? A larger sample size is needed.
