Question about the 1260 and 1335 days

But how does the Cedar Point convention on September 3 1922 fit in to this?. It does seem that many jdubs today refer to this convention as an important date. Maybe the babylon the great book could shed some "light " on that.
These interpretations are harming the WTS. The WTS are now LOCKED in to these dates and they can't back out of them. If they change the interpretations one more time there will be a greater loss of jdubs than in 1975. I can't believe that the date of a convention was foretold by god as a marker for some crazed religious fanatics.
Until this thread, I was totally unaware that the interpretations of these dates have been changed many times. So what is the concensus here? what is todays official WTS interpretation of the 1260 and 1335 days??

No I don't doubt it one minute. Yes the sound cars were real in the 20's . There was some mob action and many sounds cars were flipped over HA.
As the WTS senses the end of the world is imminent they will resort ot every tactic they can get. It is really about drumming up bible studies though. Without studies how can you run a publishing company that prints religious literature?
There were even phonographs used at the people doors. I think you could hear a crazed Rutherford speak from the VIctrola. "THE WORLD WILL END IN 1925 SO BUY OUR MAGS"

by aniron ini have been asked to give a talk on the jw's, about 30-45 mins long.. but there is so much i would like to say that it could end up being either very long or boring or both.
if you had to give a talk about jw's to a group of people who really had no idea about jw beliefs and culture.
what would you included ?.

Don't forget a power point presentation or somethings similar.
I would give the audience some food for thought and then dim the lights abit and show the many watchtower revisions on a projector screen. This allows visual stimulation of your audience and increases the impact of what you saying,

Did the WTS know the date of Sept 3,1922 marked the end of the 1260 days and the beggining of the 1335 days, before Sept3,1922
It seems likely that the WTS came up with the interpretation after Sept3,1922 and if they did it proves that they are just pulling rabbits out of hats!!. Furthermore if these interpretations are false, it will just about bring the whole fricking WTS down.
