LOL @MARY I have often thought of that. Win some money and say I would love to share this with you my little pumpkin, but being's that you don't gamble I'll just have to enjoy spending it with my friend's on JWN. Sorry

@Blondie I can't tell you how much because of Tax reason's . She is good with money. It's just what this is going to that bothers me.

All of you have great idea's but our marriage is going pretty good right now and I know if I do something like make a donation to the church of Satan ( LOL @diamondiiz) that would just be pocking the hornet's nest. You know how JW's like to play the victim card. @MadSweeney we both work and if I was the bread winner believe me I would cut her off. @crazyB that's not a bad idea I just might do that. I'm just not sure what her response would be but I want so bad to do that. If I do I'll let you know what happen.

@WTW and Openmind I haven't been to a kingdom hall for a meeting in years, but I think it would be cool to go to the library room and take a arm full of mags and book walk outside and throw them in a pile and burn them.

"She is probably brainwashed enough that the promise of a new material treat with the money saved from not donating to the Kingdumb Hell will not work." Agreed, couldn't have said it better WTW.

So my lovely wife still determined to give to the WTS when she goes to the convention is pissing me off. I looked in the

check book and a checks missing. So I ask " um where is this check # soso" she says " oh it was a donation for the WTS ".

I can't stop her from giving to this mind controlling cult, but I thought what if I make a check out to let's say Ministry Outreach Church of God or something like that.

I wonder what she would do?

Maybe go to the elders or something.

Has anyone dealt with this before?

with sadness we just heard that you have gone home.. this is a simple note of gratitude.. you were instrumental in my 80 year old mom leaving this organization after 37 years.

she is so thankful that she finally realized that this organization is a high control cult.

she is in a much better place and feels closer to "jehovah" god and jesus than she ever did as a witness.

Day 2 of the Convention is over ... what's missing?

day number 2 is done.. there was an audio drama, sure, it adds some excitement, hey, its different.. final talk "stay close to jehovah, as jeremiah did" ended with the release of the book ... god's word for us through jeremiah ... not a verse by verse consideration of prophecy, rather, what we can learn from jeremiah's life as a prophet, considers information from jeremiah and lamentations.

(of course informed readers of this site knew of this release already.).

noticibly missing ... jesus christ ... to me it was painfully obvious.. one talk i think was numbing our mind to accept the generation bomb tomorrow.. i couldn't help but realize that throughout the convention so far, the vast majority of scriptural references are from old testament (yes, it was hard not to say hebrew scriptures, so i just did).. i didn't realize it so much in the past, but it seems like jehovah's witnesses are trying to accomplish what the nation of israel couldn't, follow laws.

Does "God" Exist?

Yes, but I think that we are just one small part of a science project. God checks in once and awhile to see how things are going. I think he really enjoys blowing up stars though. It must be the boy in him/her/it.
