I like the commentary without the harsh attitude that some have.
dubstepped, agreed.
a recently published article called "a feast to jehovah" at http://meletivivlon.com/2015/05/12/a-feast-to-jehovah/ discusses the use of icons, venerated symbols and organizations, the jw.org logo, and more being used in the org.some of you might find it interesting as some of the comments on the site (and in other article) which are often from current (but thinking) jws.

cognitivedizzy, if you wait a while and try again later, it should work. I think it's a limit the site puts on how many people can download files during certain periods of time.

according the watchtower study of may 10th, it has been made clear no prophetic meaning should be given to a a scripture or passage unless the bible itself gives clear interpretation of it.
therefore daniel 7 especially gives it's fulfillment to nebuchadnezzar only.
no future kingdom or 2520year wait til 1914. no gentile times or "this generation".
CloseTheDoor, that's interesting. I've been wondering what some of the older JWs think of all the changes in JWdom. How do the older, "stiff necked" ones in your congregation feel about the new, rebranded, dumbed-down, shallow, commercialized, more mainstream JWdom? For example, how do they feel about the broadcasts, the Caleb and Sophia videos, the website, the music videos, etc.?
Magnum, most of the older ones don't appreciate the watered down, dumbed down articles. Many have commented privately that it feels as if the Org. is talking down to them, or as 2 year olds. There's a difference between being humble/child like and being severely mentally challenged. We don't like being treated as the latter by the Org. The cartoons are just too freaky. Every thing now seems like everyone else's religion. Nothing "unique". Some have said the music videos are weird and too worldly. Many had to "unexpectedly" leave during the money grab video.
up until 1954, the watch tower society said that the symbolism of the memorial loaf included the little flock and that the wine represented their sharing in jesus death.
(one example: the loaf pictures not jesus fleshly body but his body members, the christian congregation.
the watchtower, march 15, 1954, page 174).
It was in the early 50's that the Org. taught the bread symbolized the "unity of the body of Christ" -- and in other words, "the Christ", the anointed believers.

to all congregationsre: orchestral accompaniment for singing at congregation meetings.
dear brothers:.
many will find that the newly composed orchestral recordings are more inspiring andconducive to our worship than is piano music alone.
I recall the pianos. Some talented brothers would sometimes play the harp along with piano in one cong. my wife and I attended. A few years ago a younger brother asked if he could bring an electronic keyboard for one of the meetings and that he could play the sheet music to the Sing Praises songbook, but his kind offer was refused. He was a very talented pianist and organist - it seemed he could play anything by ear. He was later discouraged by other elders who said he was wasting his time with the piano. Eventually he gave it up altogether.

would like to hear about any experiences anyone has had with the so called ' anointed ' .

During that study this previous Sunday, only two people in our "stiff
necked" congregation provided answers to the questions. The rest of the
congregation, being older, stubborn and protesting silently, refused to
raise their hands. The elder conducting the study from the platform
quickly skimmed through it. We did not consider that special article on pages 17, 18. Not everyone in the Organization is
swallowing this spoiled alphabet soup as easily as some of the others.
One of the circuit overseers years ago referred to our congregation as being a "stiff necked people" because they are so stubborn and slow to accept any change.

the 1946 book let god be true ascribed the name jehovahs witnesses to the great multitude:.
page 232 of the 1952 edition.
i saw this on facebook.
i'm nauseous from reading.
it's just another example of how some will go so far to make up bs and pawn it off as "truth.".
Oh but the smurf story is definitely true. I heard it from a Witness who would never spread falsehoods.
