  Was everyone really vegeterian pre-flood?

  ok it's late and im bored and this might ramble a bit but i got to thinking, the wbts always proposes that everyone, b/f god gave noah permission to eat meat, was vegeterian.

  witnesses always talk about how in the new system we will all go back to being vegeterian since i think in isaiah it says the the lion or wolf will graze and eat grass like the lamb or something and it was never gods plan for us to eat meat.. this doesn't sound right to me.

  why would god make animals begin to eat each other if it was not according to his plan?

  Do you think the Society has spies on sites like this?

  not that any of them would post, but do you think that they have people who they secretly have visit anti-jw sites and forums like this just for the purpose of seeing what people are saying about them and what their current members might stumble upon?.

  if you google jws, the first couple are official, the next two are wikis, then you have an anti-jw site and then there's this one.

  any current or potential member that is looking for more information than is published by the wbts will be directed to these sites.

  Of course they check out the sites, how would they know "the dangers of the internet" if they didn't. If your income depended on keeping hold of your members and a load of pesky people online were nicking them from you, you'd want to know what was going on. Plus they can look at what issues people have and slowly adjust doctrine accordingly, it is what i would do

  Add to that list those insects which lay their eggs in the bodies of other insects which then proceed to hatch and eat the unfortunate host alive. Yes if God created them to have that life cycle then he is one real twisted guy, I mean what sort of mind comes up with that. Of course in evolutionary terms it is a pretty much perfect set up hmmmmmm

  Humans are omnivores and have those pointy sharp clearly not for eating plants style teeth at the front of their mouths to prove it, oh that and the fact that they have predatory eyesight with the eys facing forward kind of gives it away as well.

  this is hard for me to say, i don't even know where to begin.. .

  first off i was wrong for judging a whole group of people based on the actions of a few others.. .

  there have been many courteous replies from some of the gay posters on here, and i know it must have been hard considering all the things that i said.

  One Reason Why I Worship the God of the Bible

  while this may be construed as a rebuttal to nvr's thread re: why i post about atheism, that is not my intent.. it is my intent, however, to show how i developed a belief in and love for the god of the bible.. my paternal grandfather, who died before i was born, was a baptist preacher, so you could say i cut my teeth on the bible.

  i loved having it read to me, and once i learned how, reading it for myself.

  i'm convinced that spirituality runs deep in my blood.. i've always had such a strong sense of right and wrong that injustices make me literally sick.

  How can we believe that?

  Because God is telling us it

  So like are you gay or what? Repressing your true self will only bring you anger and frustration, also just because you have had some bad experiences with the gay community does not mean you should be untrue to yourself. Most straight people have some real crappy experiences with relationships before they find their soul mate/true love etc, they don't generally decide to throw it all in.

  This is ridiculous, even if you work on the ludicrous assumption that there was an Adam (lol) surely he would have only started counting his birth/creation day from the moment he began to die. Did Adam know what a year was? Are we to assume Adam invented the calender year? What a crock of crap

  Admittedly knocking one off in public is a bit sick however I do not see what that has to do with gay marriage which this thread is about. This thread needs to get back on track lol. I still have not seen any of the anti gay marriage brigade offer a solitary justification for their stance other than the bigoted "The bible says it's wrong" yeah well the bible says a lot of things are wrong and is a book for a time when enlightenment was a torch accompanied by a pitchfork.

  I hate bigotry, jw's are encouraged to effectively have a global bigoted attitude, they ALL die and we live!! It is a shame that when they leave some JW's just cannot shake some of their discriminations. Obviously everyone has a right to their individual opinion but maybe some people need to think how they would feel if they were looked down on and marginalised just because of certain preferences or beliefs they may have.

  So God can do things we would find reprehensible and get away it BECAUSE he is God? Nah sorry I cannot go for that. With regards to the flood comment maybe He did warn the for 40 years (although how Noah quite managed that while building an ark the size of a small town is quite beyond me) so the babies and young children were warned were they? How about the Egyptian firstborns? Were they warned? Or how about 1 Sam 15:3 where God intructs that they "Destroy them and their possessions, kil their men, women, children and even their babies" You have to admit God does seem to enjoy a good slaughter
