I am easy going, but will stand up for what I believe in. I don't think my online personality is any different.

How closely does your online personality match the REAL you?
by nicolaou ini think i come across as a bit agressive online but in reality i know i'm extremely chilled - lazy some might say.
i'm greek you see and we do so love to argue the toss - loudly and insistently - and then have a game of tavli (backgammon) afterwards.
thing is most of my family are still jw's and as i can't do it with them you guys end up getting both barrels!!.

Lets say you went to a meeting, list what would irritiate you...
by JH in.
in my case, it was always the length of the meetings that bothered me.. no matter what meeting it is, you have to get there prepared, and that means lots of time reading the darn literature.. another thing that would irritate me, is all the magazines that come in faster than i can read.. i'll let you guys add to this list.. .

To me, by far, the worst was the WT study. Oh my, one hour never lasted so long. And I would get pissed when it went over by 5 or 10 minutes. It really seemed as though all meetings took forever. And I thought assemblies would never end.

David Willis
by Junction-Guy inwell its finally time i cast away all remaining reluctance from my jw days.
most everyone i have met in person knows me, but this is only the 2nd time ive ever come forward with my identity on an xjw board, and frankly im at a point in my life where i no longer could give a rat's rear end if anyone finds out.
im an open opposer of the wt society and everything it stands for.. darin willis is my brother and moncie (monica) is my mom.

lilybird- actually Simon did admit he was wrong on the first show with all 24.
I like Katherine, she has a great voice, and seems to be a nice girl.
Chris is good, but no personality at all.
I love Taylor...I want him to win, with Katherine as runner up.

It is fun! I have been involved with martial arts for 17 years now, and love it. The conditioning is great, and is a healthy yet enjoyable exercise.

How not to apply for a job.
by JeffT inwe just got a resume in the office (did i mention that i got a new job about a month ago - can't remember) any way this couple applied for an apartment managment team job.
the resumes were faxed in: handwritten on lined paper (our admin person says they must have a handwritten font on the computer).
she has one time frame 1997-2003 that lists her occupation as "housewife" during the same time period he has listed "went fishing in alaska with father in law.

I get job applications in all the time, and it is amazing what you see on them. And they wonder why they never get a good job.

How DARE he?! This is why I'm still Single!!!
by stillAwitness inwell, i was dating this guy and its been a long time since i have even been with anyone that i thought was worthwhile.
i've been focusing on other things and with everything else going on with trying to gain my independance i just have not wanted to get caught up.
anyways, how dare the guy i was seeing call the whole jw mind-cult issue "stupid" when i tried to explain to him why i am the way i am (awful social skills, the simple excitement from just being around a new scene, etc.
