Whats with the karate chops????
by highdose insomething i can't explain and i'm hoping someone here can: i've seen footage of people doing karate chops against bricks etc, when they slow the footage down to slow motion it shows that before the blow has struck the object breaks????.
now whats going on there please?.

What kind of Witness were you?
by EmptyInside inthere always seemed to be some witnesses who seemed to be in it for the social aspect of it.
the ones who planned most of the gatherings and trips.
and the ones who got invited to the parties two states away.

I grew up as a witness, never was hard core, just went through the motions. When I went through a divorce, it was easier not to be active, and after awhile, then I realized that it was NOT the truth. Just did what I had to do. Like I said, went through the motions.

Is it possible that the WT society will soon collapse like a house of cards?
by BonaFide inthe recent internet phenomenon seems to be that 1. some news story breaks, and then 2. people start talking about it and twittering and forwarding emails about it.
and then it multiplies and multiplies until finally, 3. the whole world is talking about it.
the same with the madoff scheme.

Who knows how long it will take for the WT to collapse, if ever. But, if there is anything that will do them in, it is the information that is available in the privacy in ones home, on the internet.

Why the sudden change of heart?
by megs inafter reading two consecutive posts about people returning to the fold, i have to ask a question... on some level, be it conscious or otherwise, have world events of the past year caused some to reconsider that we are in the "end times"?.

What makes a person lean on one side rather than the other side?
by JH insome people, even if they hear the facts, will still remain jw's.
you can talk about all the wrongdoings the watchtower did in the past, as well as all the flip flops they made throughout the years, and still, most remain blind to this.. a few, on the other hand, will start to question their faith and put it to test.. what makes a person lean on one side, rather than on the other ?.
