  Do You Think That Jehovah's Witnesses Are Basically Good People?

  we've all been affected by negative things because of the organization.

  but do you think that as a group, jehovah's witnesses are bad, or do you think that most of the witnesses that you know are inherently good people??

  Realist,

  I do not know President Bush personally, so it would not be fair for me to speculate on what his "real" reasons are for war. I would imagine that they are what he has already said.

  I however, do know people who do know President Bush, and from what they have said, is that he is one of the most sincere and good hearted people they have ever met. They say he is a stand up guy.

  Unless we personally know President Bush, how are we supposed to sit there and insist on what the real reasons are? Are we so full of ourselves that we honestly believe that we know it all?

  It is very clear, that once the threat was removed, the Iraqi people are very happy. I personally know some from Iraq, and we have not even seen the worst of what goes on over there. They said that the people will be finally be free.

  But, it doesn't matter. There will be those that refuse to believe it. The United States and Bush will always be the bad guys.

  How selfish. The women and children of Iraq just were not worth it? Were they?

  all youngsters listen to fm, and never am radio.. .

  I love listening to music on FM; however I enjoy the education one can receive on talk radio. I listen as often as possible to am radio, to learn and hear other peoples viewpoints on many different subjects. Sometimes I confirm my belief, other times I change my mind. I like to grow mentally, to be stimulated, and that happens at times with a good host and intelligent callers into a show.

  I always used to wonder what happened to the people before the WTS was created. Will they never be resurrected in the "New Order" because they were not witnesses?

  I think people individually have had their own relationships with God, and that is between them and God, much like now.

  I don't believe for a second that there is one true religion.

  good grief, i can't even have a cigarette in peace!

  i travel five miles to a pub for a drink with a mate, and an elder turns up.

  i'm sitting down just blowing the last bit of smoke out of my sinfull lungs and stubbing my cig out, and i look over to the bar and there's an elder from my old cong, looking in my direction with a look of disdain on his face.

  Yes, it is very annoying to watch your ex spend child support on lavish trips etc. But, as Outlaw says, there is nothing we can do about it. I have never heard of a judge asking for an accounting of where the money goes.

  It is sad that the WTS must make everyone feel unworthy.

  People should be made to feel good and be encouraged, and work on having a great self esteem. Too many people want to take that away, and the organization does not help.

  I would much rather be around those that bring you up, make you feel better. An encourageing word will go a long way. And when you give out compliments, you can't help but feel a bit better yourself. What a win / win.
