Anothery annoying thing about believers: They *always* insist that skeptics are calling them liars. I think this may have something to do with the reading comprehension skills of the believer, or they are just so blinded by their belief that they really can't process information that goes counter to their intuition.

Ok, help me out here. You are saying that I should research what I saw, in order to find out what I really saw. Today, I saw a BMW. It looked like a BMW, had BMW emblems on it, sounded like a BMW, had the general shape of a BMW. A friend of mine saw it too, and he says it was a BMW too. But we should research this more? Because maybe it really wasn't a BMW. After all, what proof is there? Just because we thought we saw a BMW doesn't make it so, now does it? Maybe our eyes were playing tricks on us, after all, we have heard stories about BMW's before. Maybe we were pre-disposed to thinking it was a BMW because we have heard of them before. Plus, you didn't see the BMW, so maybe it didn't exist. Come on rem, does that really make sense?

I think at this point we should all agree to disagree.

I don't need someone else telling me what I did or didn't see. It will be interesting to look at those books, but if they even start to tell me that it is all in my head, then the book will shut.

I agree, more education the better. But, how is a scientist supposed to explain to me what I saw, when he didn't see it himself? And how is he going to try to prove to me with science that what I saw wasn't really there?

The fact is, that it was something. Maybe some people object to the use of the word "ghost" however whatever you want to call it, it was not of this "normal" world. Call it what you like, but it was 100% as described.

Why is it so difficult to accept that?

The idea that maybe it is all in my head is ridiculous, when my family saw it too, and experienced the same things, and talked about it independently.

I appreciate the direction as far as some interesting books to read, and perhaps I will do so.

It is interesting to listen to different viewpoints.

I don't have the answer to what we all experienced, other than it did happen.

That won't change. What happened, happened. Simple as that. What exactly it was, can certainly be discussed, but I am not delusional, and it wasn't my imagination.

All I know is it wasn't from this world as we know it.

i spent ages with her ladyship in the per una section of marks & spencers today.

i was quite happy to bumble about behind her and even managed to achieve some nonchalance while i was waiting for her to try stuff on in the changing rooms.

What research do you suggest that I do? I saw the thing in my home, whatever you want to call it. It was not a live person as we know it.

When I talk about what he looked like, I describe it perfectly. What if, for some chance, this was the guy who built the house in the first place? Who knows? I don't have all the answers, and I don't claim to.

However, I know without a doubt what I saw and experienced for many years. When someone suggests that I didn't, yes I have a problem with that, because how the hell do they know?

Now, if you are all mighty and full of wisdom and would like to enlighten me, I would be happy to read your post.

You say do some research.....ok what do you suggest? Am I supposed to read something that tells me that what my family and I experienced didn't really happen?

As far as calling people such as myself lazy asses, I would encourage you to know to whom you are speaking to first. You know very little about me, and as those who do, would assure you that I am not lazy, nor stupid. You don't accomplish what I have by sitting on the couch, my friend.

It just blows my mind how many people insist that there is no such thing as "ghosts" or the supernatural, or whatever they want to call it. Just because they never experienced what others may have does not mean it does not exist. Yes, I may have difficulty making them believe, but just because they don't doesn't make me a lier.

Everyone is free to believe as they wish, but they shouldn't tell me that I am wrong simply because they choose not to believe.

It seems to me that it would be much more logical to say, hey I never have seen it, don't know what to believe, than to accuse me or others of lying, or distorting the truth.

If anyone accuses me of lying, that, I have a problem with. Or that I didn't see or experience what I did. As far as I am concerned, they can live in their world of denial.

How many remember the 15 min break Between the Public Tlk and WT Study?

as kid i remember a break of 15 minutes between the public talk and the wt study.

all the new ones and "weak" ones ran out to smoke.

loved to see the attendant round them up to come back in when the droning began again.

"National Companies", a MLM scam?

i attended, with my wife, a meeting last night.

the mlm company is called "national companies", and sells two packages, each a two year agreement.

i can't find any internet dialog, pro or con, about this company which is supposed to have started up mid 90's.

A MLM cannot make money solely off of sponsering someone. Front loading is also illegal, where they insist that you buy a bunch of product.

Check out the company very well, and just a hunch there is something amiss. Sounds like a very large start up fee, which I will bet goes to the sponser and upline. Which is illegal.

New car "motor" break in period...?

often i heard that with a brand new car, you can't drive at a constant speed for a long period of time, because it isn't good for a brand new motor.

they recommend driving at varaiable speeds and variable rpm for the first 1000 miles atleast.. just wondering if anyone here knows about this, and how many miles does it take for a new motor to be able to drive very long distances at constant highway speed without any problem.

Different sources sometimes talk about this break in period. The fact is, almost no pays attention to it, and their car does just fine.

Interesting side note though. I was at a BMW dealership talking to a salesman, and he actually said that the BMW will actually run better and stronger if you beat on it to begin with. Then it gets used to it, and reacts accordingly. Don't know how much full of crap he was, but I still remember it clearly.
