sorry I can't seem to edit my posts. It should read "over all, through all and in all".

by TheJigsUp inok heres a theoretical for you.. first of all i appreciate that not everyone here believes in an all powerful being ie.
a creator... but... not entertaining moral aspects of such and disagreements that will arise concerning it,.
what might be a theoretical picture of what might be able to be omnipresent and so on and so forth if the idea of an all powerful creator was so?.

Jig,
God is an eternal and infinite Spirit and he lives outside of our space and time because he created space and time. Thus he can be everywhere and see everything as it is occurring. I like the thought of God found in this biblical text;
one God and Father of all, who is over all and throughall and in all.

my b&q party
by varian inas a jw, i invited about 15 brothers to my garden party for a b&q.. we had a long table outside on the lawn for everyone to sit to.. just about as the meals were to be served, the guy in charge for the grill, whipered in my ear, that brother elder will do the thanks prayer before we start to eat.. at that time i didn t know how to respond, i just let him do it.
but thinking back as being the host of the do, i could of reacted in a different manner.
something like: "oh, so your prayers have more inpact than mine then, because you re the elder here, and i m just the stupid dickhead host?".

Yes, I have seen elders like that before. They are usually the more pompous A**hole elders that do it.

All out pandemonium breaks out on The Six Screens Conference call... Guest Barbara Anderson and Johnny the Bethelite.
by koolaid-man inthis highly explosive six screens of the watchtower april 9-2011 conference call is now up loaded and ready to be heard.
concerned people from all over the world were calling in to get the latest news on what is going on in the world of the watchtower.. our first guest was barbara anderson and she brought us up to speed on the criminal complaint the watchtower organization is facing in australia.
barbara as always wants the facts straight and delivers her information in a very professional, competent manner.. steve guziec a former j.w.

steve is right.
Also I was not hurt by the so called "pandemonium" on the call because as usual Rick blew that out of proportion too. What happened the next day at his church conference call was what upset me so much. Because he knew I did not agree with his view on Johnnie, he decided to allow people to bully me in front of the body of Christ.
That is really WHY he is a predator. He is just like the WT. If you are not in agreement, you must be against him. And he will attack you.
I can usually stand my ground better than a lot of ex jws, but imagine if Rick pulled his sh*t with someone that was emotionally depressed or something? He can do a lot of damage because he will LIE and throw people under the bus to protect his own image. It is all about EGO.

Sharing with my wife discussions about my cult...
by garyneal inever since the 20/20 investigation into the independent fundamental baptist churches and the parallels being discussed here concerning them and the witnesses, it became obvious to me that i was once in a cult 20 years ago.
my poison was the ifb's.. i've since joined the facebook page that was seen on the 20/20 investigation and i've participated in one discussion concerning some of the wacky sayings we heard from various ifb pastors over the years.. i shared some of these posts with my wife and i have to wonder, will she ever see some of these things in her cult?.
melissa mae witkowski malan* getting beat in the principals office because someone saw me at my home playing in the snow without wearing a skirt over my snowpants.

gary,
as you already know by now, all the fundamentalist cults are pretty much the same. If I didn't know better, I would have thought the people on facebook were ex jws from the stories they told.
I remember when my husband and I were studying with the Witnesses and the brother told us our daughter had to get rid of her magic wand and troll dolls because they were both demonic. Also, I remember the telletubbies were gay or something like that. Its funny now thinking how the hell did we buy that sh**?

Sincerest apologies from Terra Incognita
by Terra Incognita inmy sincerest apologies to anyone and everyone on this forum who read my first two threads.. i guess i started posting at a bad time in my life.
not too thoughtful of me but not insincere.
i have always been a little lacking in the social graces department partly because of my jw upbringing.

Terra,
We are all on a journey here. Please stay with us and continue on yours. You do not need to opologize for anything. I've had some pretty heated debates on here myself with certain posters but have found that unlike in the WT, absolutely NO ONE will hold anything against you. You are safe in expressing your opinions here. And you may find your thoughts widen out a little after a while anyway. Peace, Lilly

My Study Conductor Jumped Ship - Any Possible Explanations?
by InterestedOne inmy study conductor has informed me that he & his wife are switching to a foreign language congregation that is far away from the territory they live in (it will involve a lot of driving back & forth).
because he is switching congregations, he said he will not have the energy to devote to my study and recommended another brother who could take over, and i have met him.
however, this change happened simultaneously with a decision i have made.

When people change kh's to one that is farther away from thier home, it usually means they have one foot out of the WT. I know because this is exactly what me and my husband did.
