Do you have a JW FS over zealous experience?
by White Waves ini remember feeling like a must appear rude and crazy to show up at people's doors on christmas morning or new year's day.
things like these always made me wonder about the sanity of my parents, for one, and the organization.
why don't jws every get a day off?

I used to feel so embarrased. No compassion for the privacy of others. I think that it's really rude to visit people when they most likely have friends and family visiting. Such an intrusion.

I'm Gonna Be A Grandfather!!!!!

it will be our first grandchild.

I'm listening to the recording. You handled them so well. I've been in your position before and did not realize how they set people up. Interrogate people. They just keep asking questions surrounding a situation...there's no biblical anything. I think they get off on anything that they can. Good job.

What kind of safety precautions do dubs take for field service?
by Check_Your_Premises indo they provide guidelines about safely entering homes?.
if a jw enters a home for the first time, what kind of safety precautions are taken by the car group to ensure the safety of the jw?.
for instance i was shocked to find out my jw wife wasn't instructed by the elders as to which homes belonged to registered sex offenders.

by ArtfulDodger ini see this site gets thousands of postings every day .. from literally thousands of members, mostly ex-dubs, from all over the world.. rather than simply go on moaning and whinging about the big nasty org why don't you all put your efforts into something positive ... do something.. ok - the org is evil .. but it exists ... and simply whining on about it doesn't change that.
with your efforts directed at something positive, you could do wonders for .
.for anything you choose.. hundreds of real charities could do with your support - to help the really needy .

Regarding JW's using My Space accounts...
by Riverwatcher ini haven't been around in awhile, so apologies if this topic has been brought up recently.. my daughter (not a jw) had an interesting discussion today with her brother (who is a jw).
she was on the computer and was confused because her sister in laws my space account was no longer there.
she goes to check her brothers account; it too is gone.

Has anyone else felt like this????

i have a very hard time getting through to her, anyway.... she's starting a business and is in this workshop that teaches her the processes of being a businessowner.
she stated that the lady teaching the class told them that this is a blessing from god.

I have a very hard time getting through to her, anyway.... she's starting a business and is in this workshop that teaches her the processes of being a businessowner. She stated that the lady teaching the class told them that this is a blessing from God. She stood there real quiet while everyone else agreed and acknowledged what the teacher said by making various comments. The teacher noticed that she (my girlfriend) was real quiet and asked why. She (my girlfriend) stated that she was always taught by her JW mother that if you don't go to the house of Jehovah you're not blessed.
I told my girlfriend that her mother says this because this is the way we are all taught. I remember many times feeling unworthy of anything because I was not serving Jehovah as I should. That's so wrong.
Another time a recently disfellowshipped ms mentioned to me that he was totally lost..."what was he going to do". Out of all of the studying of the bible (my girlfriend used to be a pioneer) and he a ms, I don't get how they can't think out of the box and realize that Jehovah loves them no matter what. I always equate it a parent...we love our children regardless...we just try to correct their thinking at times and guide them along the way. It's a terrible thing that the JW org teaches people that there is absolutely no hope for anyone not doing what they say you should be doing. Almost like the hell & brimstone teaching...
