I'm deathly afraid. But of course I'm a gutless, brainless, spineless individual who can't think for myself. Any more questions?
best always, deddaisy
do you think that some in our midst are watchtower spies?

mine are:.
don't be late!.
don't drink so much!.
not to post on this board ever again because some people can insult others (AlanF) but if others (me) call him on it they get their thread closed due to "insults."
Ang, I wish you would see this hypocrisy.................I know you could care less, but this was a special place. deddaisy
not my words, but that of a very cherished person.
they were spoken a while back, but are so very fitting.
wish you all a very beautiful new year, let's hope and pray this one is better than the last.. .
Moe, I know you don't know me, duh, but I know you're a sweetie, and only hope, that you're smart enough to make the most of your youth ! (Stick it in the bank for you and your daughter!)
forever and always,

okay, i know that historical evidence is that jerusalem fell in 586/7 instead of 607 - as the wtbts would have.
however, that is not compelling enough to show a hypothetical jw.
they (generally) must not only be show that the opposition is correct, but that the wtbts is wrong.
seems that the page view out number the posters who actually reply to the thread.. my guess is that there's alot of active jws who are still active within' the so called "truth" are visiting this forum and reading all the threads.
i don't blame them for not wanting to reply for fear of being found out.. how many of you were still active when you found a forum like this one and lurked around for a long time?
how many of you left the organization as a result of reading this forum or other forums like it?.
I'm also wondering if and how you count your time spent preaching here? Do you count the amount of time it takes to compose your posts, or the amount of time it takes an average person to read your posts? Or do you report it at all?---------Spaznik
I do not count time for this. Until you mentioned it the thought had never even crossed my mind. I consider that the time I have spent here is mainly with those who would be considered spiritually weak or inactive. It is not my intention to debate with those who proudly refer to themselves as 'apostates'. I feel that would be a waste of my time and energy and would accomplish nothing. -----Jonadab
I'm wondering though, how you rationalize disobeying the society's encouragement to stay away from sites like this.------Spaznik
Simon has offered this site as a public forum to discuss Jehovah's Witnesses and things Witness related. It is not advertised to be an apostate website, although there are those here who have been disfellowshipped for apostacy posting here. I am not in the habit of searching for sites to read apostate literature, but I will tell you that I am familiar with things that Ray Franz has written about. I am also familiar with Randy Watters and his story, as well as many other matters that are discussed in this forum. I do not have my head buried in the sand, as some may like to think. There may be bumps and warts on the trees if that is what you are looking for, but one also has to take the time to stand back to view the beauty of the forest. ------------Jonadab

Romans 16:17: I appeal to you, brethen, to take note of those who create dissensions and difficulties, in opposition to the doctrine which you have been taught; avoid them.
I will add this Jonadab. You spoke of "apostate" sites and "apostate literature." But couldn't alot of WTS literature be considered "apostate literature?" It is "in opposition" to the doctrine that most people have been taught. And isn't the very backbone of the WTS to recruit householders, thereby turning them into "apostates" of their former religions? If all householders would truly heed the Bible, they would close the door on Jehovah's Witnesses, because aren't Witnesses "in opposition to the doctrine" that householders have been taught? And doesn't the Bible say to "avoid them." I know you're familiar with this scripture Jonadab, you just haven't read it with an objective mind most likely.
If my father would have heeded this scripture, he certainly would have avoided JWs and remained a Lutheran. But then if everyone heeded the Bible, there would be no Lutheran religion. Ditto for the Witnesses.

what are some of the stupidest comments made in the watchtower, or by a circuit overseer or elder that you've never forgotten?
the one about" the rapist being human" too, ranks right up there....like we're supposed to feel bad for him?
If you are hurting financially, having marriage troubles, having doubts, kids are in trouble, you are in trouble, no matter what is the problem, it can be fixed by going to more meetings,.......
and how conveniently they forgot the scripture that says "if you owe your brother money, your place is not sitting in the synagogue, but out working to pay back your brother," or words to that effect.
Usually I blow off whatever comments I hear from dubs, but one, made by an elder that I ran into at the grocery store really irritated me. I was walking on clouds because I had just had my baby about one month earlier. This elder and I go way back and he is quite aware that I do not accept the "truth" as truth. So after commenting on how pretty our baby was, he said "you really need to get this child to meetings so she has some hope." I was so irritated by his lack of respect for my spiritual beliefs that I just stared at him and said, "ummm, excuse me, but what makes you think because I do not choose the same religious path as you that my child has no hope?"
rebel can relate, if you're not a JW you are a horrible, selfish, hopeless person. And rebel, if you are destroying any hope for a reuniting, then what are Witnesses that remarry after their JW spouses die doing ?
oh bugger!!!
my scanner just went on the blink!.......i'll just have to try again later.
(please use a title that clearly describes the subject without being toooooooo general) lol no chance of that here!..........here comes 2003, are you all set?!!!
Love Scott of the dining-but-still-hungry-at the apostates-table
Now Scott, babe, you know apostates always leave the table before they're stuffed pigs. They don't chance being bloated and gassy like some people.
Happy 2003 to you also ! Keep on trying for that lean, sexy, apostate look.

I didn't think the UNItarians actually believed in much of anything. My sister knows a Unitarian quite well, and he's an atheist - but he likes his church.
Waiting, actually I attend a Unitarian-Universalist Church once in awhile and that's what is different about it, there is no rigid set of beliefs. Most of the people I know that attend do not accept the Trinity, hell, etc. It is more of a "thinking" church. Beliefs are open for discussion. Anyone can give a talk or sermon regarding the topic of his choice. It is the exact opposite of the WTS. One would think that such an unstructured belief system would draw a bizarre crowd, but the people seem to be very interesting, thinkers. Actually I believe Ben Franklin and/or Thomas Jefferson may have been Unitarians or something similar.
u apostates.... fallen ones..... spiritually weak ones.....whatever u want to call u r selfs make me sick... all u display is hate.
quit u r pathetic crusade to destroy the wts.
u r childish " if i cant have it... no one can" attitude.. apostate 1) " once at a meeting a talk was given and the elder said we should pray for the spiritually weak ones in the cong!!!!!!..
WHY DONT U GO AFTER THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AS WELL...THEY ARE JUST AS CONTROLING
OMG. gotta love this. "Well what about Babylon the Great, they're just as bad as us."

just dropping by to see if any word from Jonadab......Well, Jonadab, this lyric:
Have you come here to play Jesus to the lepers in your head ?---------------------------U2
wasn't quoted to offend you. Its intended purpose was to inquire of your intent in posting, or not posting. If your intent wasn't to "play Jesus to the lepers in your head," or witness to apostates, than it was to converse and learn our opinions, correct ? My questions were honest questions that I am not able to ask family members without putting them on the defensive. I only wanted an honest opinion. No need to be prove anyone right or wrong. I just wanted to explain my last post. Peace in your cyber- travels.
