I have no family members remaining in that cult, so it would not bother me. I do have one friend who remains in that racket to please his family, but he would not shun me. I would not make it easy for them however, I would refuse to meet with any of them regarding the D'fn.
It really has nothing to do with me, its their choice. I was born into their lie, I had choice. Stopped going to meeting right after I graduated and left home.
The only thing they could maybe D'F me for is celebrating holidays and birthdays and not going to meetings. Seems very petty to me, but small minded control groups are that way...

I had doubts for a long time previous – being raised in “the lie” it was never my choice to be a JW.
The last straw for me was several years after leaving home (early 90’s), I found out that almost all of the kids that I had known from my old congregation had been molested by various JW’s, including elders. We were lucky that I and my siblings were one of the few “untouched”. The MS that exposed the molestation and called for an outside investigation by the police was disfellowshipped. Many of those molesters continue to be active JW’s today.
How can anyone support an organization that protects molesters?
The 1914 Generation change in '95 was just the icing on the cake.

If you really are a JW your most likely coming to the realization that you just wasted a good chunk of your life in a big lie...
Your most likely too proud to admit it to yourself, and if not you need to do more research on what the J'dubs are really about?
P.S. Just to amuse us with thier responses (a judicial meeting), please write those emails to the elders like you told Sickof Lies you would do...

I and my family have had experience with ( Catholic, Baptist, Trinity, 7th day Adventist, Methodist, Lutheran, Mormon Latterday saints, Pentecaostal, Etc..............!
Well this explains everything!!!! Now your on to JW's, then the Moonies, Branch Davidian, Heaven' s Gate, The People's Temple.....
Don't dring the kool-aid!!!!!!

Where were you when the realization hit, that the WTS was not in the truth?
by whyizit ini was listening to a testimonial by valerie acuff and she said that she was sitting in an assembly, looking around at the crowd and thinking to herself, "this is your family, these are your people.".
she said at that moment she heard a voice inside say, "these are not your people, this is not your family, get up and leave now, and don't ever go back.
" so she took her two children at that very moment and left, and she never went back.
