How did you cope?

when you found out that this religion probably wasn't the one true religion like you had believed probably for a large portion of your life, or maybe even all of it, how did you react?

my whole life belongs to the society.

all my friends are witnesses, my family are witnesses, even my job is dedicated to the society.

I was also mad as hell!!!! I was Dis-felowed of the KH at fifteen going sixteen.

I lived at home for a short time with mom and step-father and I was pushed to attend the meetings with the family also. Being shunned and gosspied about while I was right there was breaking to my spirit and health.

I ran away for two days.

I got beat down my step-father did not spare the rod.

I left home on my own to live with my granny.

Coping with Worldly indiviuals was a difficult transformation in itself. But I have many new friends now

I am 33 yrs old now and I have just began to enjoy my life.............

need Help! not sure what to do.

hi all, hope that someone can help!

i was recently studying with the jw's and i'm just not sure on what to do.. i feel guilty because i canceled study for the time being.

i just have so many questions.

I agree with jgnat. Do not give in to the JW doctrine hype. Not having a relationship with your children will haunt you and them. I am not a JW anymore, but my mother continues to be. Let me tell you, even though I do not agree with my mom's ways as a JW. She is my mother and I sometimes catch myself wishing she would still accept me. And somtimes I wonder if she has any of her own reasoning mind left to think of me or remember me as her baby she use to carry in her arms....................................................................................................................

It is painful once you are in it and you realize you have created an emotional death with your children and family.

Yes crumpet. Since I wrote mom the letter my mother , brother and sister are still practicing witnesses have wrote me off. I even called my sister and asked her for the money she owed me only because I needed it at the time, instead of paying me back she said 'I told you not to tell mom you were a minister and conselor, now I can't even ask you if my husband is cheating, Click she hung up... See my sister knew and she used to call me with her problems but she will never own up to that...........But now she is shunning me too.

Thanks everyone, I am glad to be here. My granny funeral was two yrs ago. She was high spirited and detested JW's robots.

Yeah same here, the elder giving the talk only read granny's name and her surviving chilren. But totally ignored all twelve gran-children.

The elder did not aknowlege granny's life as a human on the earth at all. The only thing the elder kept saying was Death by Destruction in the great battle predicted as foreseen in 1914, blah, blah, blah............................After the funeral was over my uncle (non-JW) walked up the the Elder and said "You're Fired! Get Out!!!" My mom a current brainwashed JW ran to the aid of the elder, but he left anyway. The rest of the (non-Jw) family apointed themselves pallbearers starting taking granny's casket out side to the nearby open grave. And my little brother(17yrs old JW) began helping these pallbearers escort the casket. My mom ran over to my younger brother like a raveing chicken " stop put that down , Stop it now,

let them take her out!" I really did not understand that one. So I asked mom why can't he help? She stood there ignoring my question as she instantly regained her composure (fixing her top and patting her face with a tissue)............I thought to myself you were talking to me before the funeral , telling me to listen to bro. So&So's talk, the end is near and the doors will be closed just as soon as the Faultful & Deceitful Slave gives the warning from the Gelopy Boss. She kept warning THE TIME Is Now you need to come back and say you are sorry for your lusty teenage puppy love situation. I replied no, when is your husband going to announce he is sorry for molesting me!............................................I later told her in a letter I am an ordained minister of the Light, I counsel my self and others. I have my mental facilities in tact. I believe God Is right inside me...Why can't you get answers for yourself?????????..............She has never responded.

Faultful & Deceitful slave?

i never recieved any answers from the mighty ones regarding why they were called the faithful and dscret slaves.

and if their mission was to give out food to the naive mindless flock , then why was i starving for answers?

soon i gave up when mom continually said to keep to my lessons in the wt and stop questioning jehopes orderly organization..

Thanks for your words of enlightment. But the Faultful & deceitful slvs are not the only ones that can publish books. There are so many sad truths out there waiting to be heard by the world. More and more people will discover their dogmatic teachings....... So if they are calling themselves heavenly slaves then all the rest in the org are considered animals?????

Why is it always the Husband?

when it comes to talks and study articles about marriage, why is the emphasis always put on the husband about making the marriage work, over emphasis on husbands loving their wife?

women are just as equally responsible for what happens in marriages, yet the wtbs devotes 3/4 of an article on what husbands should be doing and 1/4 on wives, and thats only to be submissive and be respectful, how sad!

When I growing up my step-father walked around like the king of the universe. He took the head of family teachings to heart. He even demanded that we come to him first instead of having interest in worldly boys.

(such a fine christian sister) Hey that's all I knew at that time. No one listened about the problem with my step-father because he was a witness.Suddenly I got kicked out at fifteen going sixteen. I was set up and ratted out by an elite click of silverspooned elder teenage lambs. Soon the congregation had talks about following Jezebel ways. Left Tx moved to Cali. Began living with my Gran-mother (non-J.W.) Gran-mother loved me as her own and accepted me fully. I miss granny. I had a wonderful life with her .

Later Granny died, my mother (remains a J.W.) took over the funeral arrangements. Now, not only did my family in california have to travel to Tx for the funeral (non-J.W.)

But My mom gave my gran-mother a Jehovah's Witness funeral. All my mom's friends from the kingdomhall was there. They stared me down like zombies. Not even a word was spoken to me. The elder giving the funeral talk says only J. W. will get into the kingdom of God but for non- believers there can be hope of a resurrection..... Now I repeat my gran-mother was not a witness! She was a devote believer of the trinity.

I bought a beautiful flower arrangement on a large stand for my gran-mother. The only flower from my mother's J.W. friends was one flower pot from the grocery store. I kid you not.........

Most of the non- J.W. family remain upset and offended today.
