Man, coulda been a lot worse, at least they left a note. I've been hit and had the people remain anonymous. That is far more vexing.

by WildHorses inthis guy seems familiar with how the jws work and he let this jw know it.
if you're wondering how i cam across this.
i was doing a search on damon wayans to see if he was still a jw because i was watching an episode of his show "my wife and kids" and his son on the show said something about placing mags.

Justice-One, I categorically reject your gun-survivalist opinions.
Nevertheless, I think we're all united by one specific thing, and I for one would be sad to see you go, regardless of any past arguments we've had. Your perspective differs from the median and that is always valuable. You are neither a troll nor a nut nor a JW apologist, and that gets you very far in my book.
Not that my opinion matters; I offer it FWIW. -

Books
by Wordly Andre ini dont know if anyone here has a similar story like this but when i was a kid my parents did not allow any worldly books in our house the only ones were jw books.
one time back in the 5th grade i had to do a book report and my teacher gave us all a list of books that we could pick one to do the report.
the idea was to go to the local library or simply buy the book.

Andre... geez... you really had it rough. That behavior goes well beyond what the Society demands. Most people I knew growing up, including myself, could have non-Witness books in their house.

The Bible In Lego
by serotonin_wraith inhttp://www.thebricktestament.com/
the bible can be quite a hefty read, so if you want to read it why not do yourself a favour and have a look at the lego version?
if only they'd studied this version at the hall, i would have actually paid attention.

You should do the Watchtower Farms tour and ask if you can see Jesus Cano's room.

Tuesday, I doubt they had anything against Jewish people. Most trolls are not really invested in the subjects they troll about; it's the indignant reaction they savor. Anti-Semitism is always a crowd-pleaser when it comes to trolling.

Watchtower Unity Recognized by Newbies Throughout the World
by Siddhashunyata incouldn't let this poignant insight get away:.
newbie ivywalker writes (under topic heading "why do the majority of newbies dissappear???".
"now i want to tell why i am also here: i am always surprised that you ex jw in usa and around the world have exactly the same experiences and feelings like we in germany.

Ahhh unity, so often portrayed as one of the reasons that JW's are the true religion. Really unity is more of a neutral as regards Spirit-direction, don't you think?

Yeah the application of "no part of this world" to voting is particularly bizzare when the Society and individual Witnesses are perfectly happy to participate heavily in the judicial branch of most governments. Why is that leg of the government okay to participate in when the executive and legislative branches aren't?
Jesus never had the opportunity to vote; 99.9999% of citizens back then didn't, and Jesus wasn't a citizen anyways. What would he have done if he had been born or had attained to Roman citizenship, like Paul? Paul is portrayed as exercising every right available to him as a Roman citizen. Jesus certainly supported paying taxes, quoting "Pay back Caesar's things to Caesar"... in modern representative democracies, the citizens ARE Caesar, and voting is considered to be a responsibility. One of Caesar's things. The only way to renounce your inherent self-rule in America is to renounce your citizenship. We don't see Witnesses doing that, do we?
The Society has never been populated by civics majors, apparently. -

Maybe Rex is observing a time of quiet in honor of his avatar and namesake passing on the other day.
