my regular work takes a lot of time and just now I found a second to inform you that ex-JW and victim Pamella Carneiro da Silva WON the trial!

JW molester, Ednilson Pagno, was sentenced to 11 years and 8 months in prison . But he appealed the veredict requesting habeas corpus - a legal device established by law for not performing prison.

Highlights on judge sentence:

- crimes occurred many times

- the molester has NOT conditions to live socially with others and he is a peril to comunity

- the sentence (11y 8m) is high, due to crime peculiarities

And a curious thing: molester Edenilson was DF'd and re-instated as JW.

Brief: Pamella Carneiro Silva was abused in congregation by predator Edenilson Pagno, ex-elder. Edenilson was DF'd. Few time after, Edenilson was re-instated. Another victims may stop the process in this point, because "the Jehovah's justice took place". But Pamella did what no one Brazilian JW victim ever did until now: She went to police and sued Edenilson.

We hope that Pamella's Case will be the FIRST of many others that never going to police.

he used to order foreign bibles for the store and one evening i was thumbing through a thai bible on the shelf and was dumbstruck.

In August 14, 2007 a Brazilian Court rules a sue regarding JW-patient choice to refusing blood. The case occured in Uberaba City, Minas Gerais. But one of the judges talked about his vote. He explained many aspects pro-JW, but a paragraph is too interisting:

" I make this comment, inasmuch as the blood reception to the Jehovah's Witnesses follower becomes him excluded from his social group pairs and generates a family nature conflict that finishes to becoming unacceptable the living between its integrant ones. It is created, therefore, an environment in which the person is had as religiously worthless and that he doesn't deserve necessary received in the medium, as described in doctrine."

Maybe the computer translation wasn't good, so that's the Portuguese speak from one of judges:

"Faço esta observação, porquanto a recepção de sangue pelo seguidor da corrente religiosa Testemunhas de Jeová o torna excluído do grupo social de seus pares e gera conflito de natureza familiar que acaba por tornar inaceitável a convivência entre seus integrantes. Cria-se, portanto, um ambiente no qual a pessoa é tida como religiosamente indigna e que não merece a necessária acolhida em seu meio, como descrito em doutrina."

I wrote an article regarding the issue "Proteja seus Filhos" (g1993 oct 8). The Portugues title is the same that recent October 2007 issue (Keep your children safe). In 14 years, what did JWs for the Child Protection? They play to all corners that medicine progressed regarding blood techniques. And, what about children abuse policy? Philip Brmley said that "this policy is without equal in te religious comunity". So why don't instruct all over religions this "beatifull" policy?

after w97 1/1 article regarding "abhor what is wicked", WTS sent another letter to the elders in march 14, 1997 explained more than magazine.

in 2007, WTS settled 9 suits, Barbara publish a CD-ROM and October Awake bring another articles regarding child abuse: Maybe another confidential letter to the elders was sent...
