i'm picturing a situation in which a savvy 12 year old doesn't like the house rules that mom's new husband has put into place.
or something along that line.
i can certainly agree that protection of children is paramount, but who protects the real victim in those cases?
In theory it could be open to abuse by an accuser who has ill intent.
However in cases of child abuse, when 99% of victims are truthful, why punish 99% for the sake of a theoretical 1%?
And as said above, the police are in the best position to determine the validity of claims, NOT the Elders.

all have tried to pass this off as a case to review a few bad cases.. highlight to them the name of the inquiry:.

Sorry that they are navel gazing, just open your eyes! All the evidence used in the Public hearing is posted on the website. Hundreds of letters to the branch and elders, and best of all, the Shepherd the Flock book. All from a trustworthy and non "apostate" source.

I have been threatened by my devout family in a round about sort of way. I have had a bad time due to what I can only say is.........fear of facts. I don't feel so good right now.

first of all i was sitting having breakfast this morning listening to the trial highlights provided by barbra anderson.
i could just feel my blood boiling ( this was also combined that i was also feeling rather lousy from a cold).
in the posts about the australian royal commission there have been several references to discussions on jw-archive.
i'd not heard of that site, so checked it out.
it seems to be used by many active jws - its tumblr style archive is full of pictures of jws doing their thing.

If you look at the averages in the yearly statistics you get this: Worldwide average is 7,867,958 dubs in 115,416 congs. So, an average of 68 per congregation.
In Australia there are 66,484 Dubs, meaning a guesstimate of around 1,000 Congregations... One Offender for each Cong!

At 101min onwards The questioner nails the Ex-CO to the KS10 book. Shows that he had been lying for the previous 5min about victims accusing the pedo.

So many highlights. Love seeing the hears grinding as they are asked questions... you can SEE the conflict in their mind as they weigh the .Org's response vs the right one to make. Really good entertainment.
Go to 28min mark for one of the most hard hitting questions asked. The gears grinding in the guys head are palpable. NEXT question is also amazing.
