There was a knock on the door this morning. I opened it to find a young man standing there who said: "I'm a Jehovah's Witness."
I said "Come in and sit down, what do you want to talk about?"
He said, "Beats the heck out of me, I've never gotten this far before."

A Kind Word For Brits
by metatron inexternally, we get a certain 'impression' of what living in england is like.
every third baby boy is named mohammed.
people who engage in self defense are imprisoned while criminals are given a 'firm talking to' and have their hands slapped.

Here's a kind word for Brits -- you tend your own business across the pond, and we'll tend ours.

Convert the laundry room to Mormonism. You'll have to use the local laundromat for the year or two it must go out to be a missionary, but that's a very small price to pay for the rewards of having a faithful LDS laundry room.

The Witnesses are freaking out
by Sour Grapes ini still go to a few meetings a month just to keep members of my family happy.. the witnesses seemed to be getting all worked up about how close the end.
it sorta feels like the 1975 era only 35 years later.
the brother who gave.

the "end is very very near."
Oh, well, if it's very very near, then it must be true.
He said that he became aWitness in 1990 so he missed all of the fun in 1975.
But he wouldn't have missed all the fun! He would have been one of the billions of men, women, and children slaughtered by a loving God. I was there in '75 and I can tell you it was a real hoot.
I'm not going to get worried until they say, "I triple-dog dare you to deny the end is very very near." But they'll never say that, because dubs don't watch Christmas movies.

Wrong category, rmhp. "Friends" is the G-rated section. If you want naked people, start a thread in adult/heated topic section.

Letter to all Congregations - Synthetic Hormone EPO (Erythropoietin) now OK and NO longer a conscience matter
by LUKEWARM inepo injections have been on the acceptable list for quite some time - the preparation contains a small amount of albumin.. .
a friend of mine tells me a letter was read in his congregation last week after the service meeting stating that these injections don't contain any blood fractions and are no longer a conscience matter.. .
anyone know more details?.

Mary: My own opinion is that the next step the WT will take is for them to still ban "whole blood" but allow "packed red cells" to fall under the category of "fractions" and make it a "conscience matter.
And won't that make those dub parents who let their children die feel warm and fuzzy with the WTS?
Well, maybe not. They'll find a way to rationalize it to avoid facing the fact that they virtually murdered their own children. Dubs are good at that.

I Think Parakeet Is Jealous Over Perry's Parrot.
Nonsense. I have my own parrot, a sweetheart to me and a terror to everyone else. I simply love parrots and want to know their names. I know the names of nearly every dog, cat, and a cockatoo (Tookie) in my neighborhood. It's people's names I keep forgetting.
Did I overanalyzed that?

A minimus thread without a question? I'm staggered, I tell you, staggered.
Terry's ok. It's Perry who has a few loose bolts. And he still refuses to tell me the name of his parrot.

JW's being asked not to marry?
by life is to short inok another poster just went to the two day assembly and i just went to the one day special assembly day sunday.
at both of them it seems there was strong words against getting married.
they had on the stage a group of young men about three of them an older sister who is not that attractive but she is really nice, of course not brother would give her the time of day, and this older brother who is in his 60's and nice but very strange.. they all went on and on and on about not getting married.

Dubs not marrying and having children is a great idea. I hope the WTS makes it "new light" doctrine.
No more dub kids leading lives of misery, and the cult will fade out before the year 2050.
Go for it, gb! Why should you celibate geezers have all the fun?
