first...the story of the incredible shrinking ice cream box.... for years and year the box was one half gallon (us)...2 full quarts...then somewhere a couple years back, it shrunk to 1.75 quarts...but in the same size box..... today, i was at the grocery, and seen the stuff was on sale..... hmmmmm...something fishy.... yep... it is now 1.5 quarts.... and i carefully compared the 1.75 box in my freezer with my new 1.5 box.

Last night I bought a 16oz bottle of Minute Maid O. J. which is no longer 16oz. It's 15.2oz.

Now that's the kind of crap that makes me mad. Just leave it at 16 and raise the price. Don't raise the price and lower the volume.

Hambeak~In and out of Hospital~Not so Good

last week hambeak was in the hospital having had another stroke and i believe heart attack.

i am not sure if he is following on the board, but he may be at home by now.

i stopped by his work seeing he was determined to be back at work...two days after the hospital...i told him not to, but you know he is stubborn.

Iraq war for oil? Question for Bush haters

i've been meaning to ask this for a while.. i'm just curious how all the bush bashers who screamed for years that iraq was 'all about the oil' justify their view now with oil prices hovering around $140/barrel?.

just wondering because that argument has kinda been quashed, hasn't it?

i never saw the u.s. just taking iraq's oil nor do i now see iraq doing any favours by discounting the price.. i don't like bush so this is not a desire to argue.

Iraq has the second largest oil reserves in the world, behind number one, Saudi Arabia.

susan atkins, one of the manson "family" members convicted in the 1969 murders of actress sharon tate and six others, is dying of brain cancer and asking to be released from a california prison after 37 years behind bars.

do you think she should be released?.

I lived in the area during the time these people were loose and commiting these murders. Sharon Tate's house has been knocked down, and her address no longer exists. They replaced it with three or four smaller homes. I could take you there right now.

I remember the fear in the community when all these things were happening. The Manson Family also murdered the LaBiancas, who lived in a very nice area of Los Angeles.

I say that she had an act of compassion bestowed upon her when her sentence was commuted from death to life in prison.

She had no compassion. Why should I?

ok, i was working on my project about "new light" and i came across a very interesting statement that was made 24 years ago via the wt:.

Remember, there are some who claim 'the last days' had their total fulfillment in the first century. This may be the thought they had in mind when they made this statement.

Remember, we were taught that 'the last days' of the first century were a minor fulfillment of Jesus prophecy, so then the apostles would see 'the end' in their time. Those who are alive during the 1914 generation would see the major fulfillment, namely the great tribulation leading to Armeggedon. That may be their thought here.
