  You want a story. I'll give you a story before I get off this computer today.

  When I was about 19 or 20, I sent for some books on Withchcraft and Telekinesis, plus some others. Now I'm new to all this stuff, and I'm kind of skeptial. So, in one of the books it talks about getting in touch with your spirit guides and all that. So, I'm going "yeah, right".

  I came into contact with a girl one night when I was out with my cousin and she told me what city she lived in, which was adjacent to the city my cousin lived in. She was from out of state and her car had out of state licence plates. The next night, I asked to be directed to her home and I was. Her car was right in front of this home. I had never been to this adjacent city before. I was alone, my cousin was not with me.

  I didn't knock on her door, but the next time I saw her, which was about 2 weeks later, I told her her address and what her place looked like. I thought she was going to faint. She asked me how I knew and I told her I have ways, but I never told her how I found it.

  Caution: Please do not try this at home. I do not recommend it.

  Your guardian angel

  there is always a lot of talk among the jws about the fallen satanic angels who turned away from holiness to practicing evil and tyranny, but what about the holy angels?

  there are guardian angels for nations, cities, and individual humans, do you think you have one?

  their duties are to protect from visible and invisible enemies, to teach humans divine justice, show them the good way, and comfort them during stressful, difficult times.

  that a couple from my old hall in florida haven't been to any meetings in about 2 years.

  i was floored as the husband was an elder for a long time, the wife a pioneer.

  nice quiet couple that you would never suspect to miss any meetings, let alone 2 years worth.

  Sorry to be so blunt, but..................you found out what most of us found out. They don't contact you because THEY DON'T CARE.

  We were in our hall just over 20 years and no one cares.

  Post a problem you are having on JDW and guess what.............THEY DO CARE. These old evil apostates care and they even send you p.m.'s.

  I was going to bring this one day, but I'm glad you did.

  If you look at Acts 12:15 you will see how Rhoda thought that Peters angel was knocking at the door. I guess we do have guardian angels and they look like us or at least resemble us.

  There is another scripture in one of the 4 gospels that is similar to this one in that it indicates we have guardian angels, but I just can't remember where it is.

  About the scripture in Acts, the WTS comment on it was that it was some kind of Jewish superstition that caused Rhoda to think that. But like I said, I believe the scripture.

  it is a shame that people are here portraying themselves as jehovah's witness as having some knowlege or going to meetings.

  what exists here is a complete lack of faith in anything.

  and a great amount of stupidity.

  Some people can't stop going, because it will cause too many problems with their families. They probably had enough trauma dealing with everyone as they faded in their door to door work.

  Hey Pistoff:

  You reminded me of something similar a C.O. said from the platform a quite few years ago and I still can't believe what I heard.

  He was talking about a neighborhood in some city in Ohio, how the brothers couldn't preach because it was so dangerous and the whole bit. Then he said how the city finally was tired of it and they cleaned it up by getting the "blacks" out of the neighborhood.

  I'm going "I can't believe he just said that!". I'm not black, but I'm offended. I looked over at a black sister that was in my field of view and I'm thinking "I wonder how that made her feel". She just kept listening, but I wasn't going to ask her how she felt about it after the meeting, that's for sure.

  Where or what would you be today, if you would have never became a JW?

  often i wonder what i would be doing or even where would i be living, if i would have never met the jw's back in the late 80's.. maybe it wouldn't have made any difference, or on the contrary, maybe a huge difference.

  the only way to really know would be to go back in time and change what happened and that's impossible.. .
