i remember a few years back we use to have to buy parking tickets for the dc.
later i think they made it a donation (mandatory, of course).
now they dont charge for parking at all, in fact all your supposed to have is you id badge visible so they know youre a true jw.
My understanding was that the parking was still being run by outside vendors, who didn't have anything to do with the agreement between the venue and the W.T.S.

i was told by a reliable source that the organization will be making a "big announcement" at the end of the summer when all the dcs have ended.
has anyone else heard this?
maybe this is the "new light" they have alluded to in recent wt study articles?
Leo,
That guy is the modern type of Nimrod.
I think the announcement is going to be 607 is wrong, which gets us off the hook for "the generation", but Jesus was still enthroned in the heavens in 1914.................or was that 1918?

you only get one try, and there is no monetary prize if you get it right.
(of course, everyone will get this one right off the bat.

I've only been here for 2 months, and I know who you are referring to.

you guys that are so obsessed with the wtbts and their future.
just stop it and get onto doing something positive with your life.
give back sometheng to your community and the world we are in for now.
The work of helping people in pain, especially those who were, or still are j.w.'s, is "the most important work being done today".
Whatever happens to the WTS is not really my issue.
My issue is those who come here crying for help and the only ones who can even BEGIN to understand are ex-j.w.'s, faders, inactives and even some actives.
It doesn't make any difference how far I've gotten along with "my life", as long as I have a breath left in my body and a computer, I'm gonna keep reading, commenting, welcoming, p.m.'ing any and all who need support.

My top 5, which I can't believe:
1. Orthodox Judaism (Didn't know I was annointed)
2. Islam (I'd rather be a J.W.)
3. Mormon (only if they start allowing Polygamy)
4. Sikh (I would rather not wear something on my head)
5. Jehovah's Witnesses (I really thought they would be # 1)

while you were a witness, is there anything in particular that you'll never forget happening?
Because of the existence of J.W.D., I wish I would have written everything down!
I've forgotten some of the scandalous details!
Warlock
when was the last time that the society gave an explanation about 1914?
for years now it's always that god's kingdom was established in the heavens in 1914 and 1918 jesus directed his attention toward rutherford.
no more trying to give historical facts or dates why they came up with 1914.. is this what you have noticed?
The problem now, is that 1914 goes right along with "the generation". Eventually it will be "1914 was the year WW1 started" and that's all.
