  No, I don't think so.

  It just means that people are debating. It doesn't mean that God doesn't exist.

  While I am in awe of the multitudinous variety of dinosaurs, the geologic history of our earth, and don't believe in the WTS's version of "days" of 7,000 years each, I do believe that the infinite and diverse intricacies of life had a cause. The details, of course, cannot be known, as we were not there. Hence, the "theories" that abound.

  so said one of my family members recently.

  i'm pretty sure that if a lion eats grass, it will get sick.

  and if lions were designed to eat grass, why do they have teeth perfect for eating meat?

  Also, how did the animals know that after the flood they could eat meat when before all they ate was plant life?

  Did a lion just one day up and think "Hey, why am I wasting my time on this grass when that zebra looks tasty?"

  Then, when other animals that have sharp teeth saw the lion eating the zebra, did they think, "Wow, I have teeth like his-maybe I'll try animal flesh, too?" and on down the line?

  Maybe animals are alot smarter than we give them credit.

  Those shoes do not look like anything any man in the United States would wear. They DO look like high heels!!!

  Is this some New Zealand fashion?

  Who would look at these shoes and think, "I would look great in these?"

  Maybe he is self concious about his height?

  Anyway, your post made me laugh out loud and I can always use a good laugh. Thanks.

  (Sorry I have no solution to your problem but if it helps-I have also worked with people that drove me crazy)

  for 28 years i believed in paradise earth.

  it was my life.

  i da'ed myself 3 years ago and with that i my life as i knew it ended.

  I have not let go of the past, 3 years later I have not moved on to a "Life" I don't know if I ever will. That was my life for my entire adult life. To move on was never an option. The feeling of hopelessness is boundless. I really am not asking for sympathy responses I just wonder if others are as I that just can not go back and can not let go...

  Please be assured that your feelings are shared by many. I too loved the thought of paradise on earth. All the things I love-animals, beautiful mountains, plants, the ocean, laughing with friends-these are the things that kept me going for so long.

  Oh, yes, I didn't have to worry about making or investing money for the future-my future was a beautiful paradise! somehow this lulled me for over thirty years!! Now, my husband and I feel like Rip Van Winkle, the character who slept for twenty years and then awoke.

  When reality sets in, and you find that you are close to retirement age with NO RETIREMENT MONEY, and low paying jobs due to lack of education, what then?

  Yes, hopelessness. But I am "waking up" like Van Winkle, and getting back into the game. Yes, it is hard at 55 years old to have no friends (yes, I count you all here as friends but not in physical proximity) no money, and to have to go to college with very young people to get the education to do something that will earn more money so that we won't have to live under some bridge in a few years is disheartening.

  I do not know if there will ever be a paradise on earth. I still would love to think there will be. I love the planet and am a definite "tree hugger" concerned with ecological issues.

  I hope that you will "get into the game" and decide to have a life. Why not? We have been given the gift of life just like everyone else!!!

  I find enjoyment now in little things. I have time now to examine flowers, bugs, lizards, plants, etc. in a way that I did not when rushing to meetings and service.

  I hope that you find something that you enjoy and start living again!

  Witnesses Encouraged to Read a Book Written by a Damn Demun!

  that's right my dear brothers and sisters in the lord......the society endorsed a book written by a fallen angel!.

  this is an oldie, but it was written 5 years after the society was approved by jehovah himself in 1919 as his loyal servants.. for your reading pleasure: .

  I found this to be very interesting, nvrgnbk.

  Yes, many of the elements of the early teachings of the WTS are alluded to in this book. Isn't it interesting that Russell would employ an Egyptian symbol on the WTS publications? This, AFTER the organization was "cleansed" and chosen in 1918/1919?

  I wish the average witness of today could be aware of these things.

  i posted here a couple of months ago, or less.

  my home computer crashed and they cracked down on messageboard sites at my work, so the work laptop was out.

  plus, i just felt emotionally burned out and just didn't want to think about it anymore.
